What have you bought since the AWB ended?

I wasn't all that excited about the sunset.
Since none of this stuff was actually banned, I bought pretty much everything I wanted anyway.
But, within the last week I realized there were a few things that I wanted, that I couldn't get during the ban and made a few orders.
HK AR15 magazines
Beta C magazine for the AR15.

If either or both turn out to be everything they are cracked up to be, I am ordering more.

Ditto - I don't own any guns that take "high cap" mags, except for an HBAR and 30 rounders were always available for it. I bought most of mine for $10 a piece, slightly used by the Guard.

I'm glad the AWB did sunset - but I was already in the process of buying a FA UZI so it didn't do alot for me.

both of my pistols are 1911 type, so no mags for those.

I have however picked up 2 dozen new mags for my AR (grey labelles) and have another dozen on order from TAPCO--don't know when those will be here. I also picked up some used 20rounders. I also picked up a new upper for my m4, a 1/7 14.5 from CMMG with the permanent phantom. can't ever have too many mags for the AR. I'm not taking any chances on a new ban. especially if the two johns win in Nov.

I've also picked up a Savage 10fp-le2b and just got my first AK the other day. a damn nice maadi ak47. also I just ordered a CMP garand.


I think the wife might be right about holding off for a while before purchasing anything else.

Wasn't exactly a since the ban ended purchase. I had ordered a STI edge 10MM back in May. STI was nice enough to run late in delivery so when it shipped it came with standard capacity mags. I ordered a few extra while I was at it.

That will take care of excess funds for a while.

and a Rossi M972 - 6" polished to a mirror finish.

Thats all. Oh, the machine gun shoot is this weekend and I normally
go on Friday to beat the crowd. Looking for a Russian AK-47 with

A new yard.

Lots of grass and bushes and mulch and someone else's labor (that's the best part ).

So, no new Sport Utility Rifles for me. Although, Christmas is coming soon... I see a flash suppressor in my future. Maybe a new lower with a telescoping stock, too.

BTW, anyone know if the barrel on a Bushy carbine (XM15E2S) can be safely threaded for a flash suppressor?

A ban era M4gery because they cut me a great deal on it. Several 30 round mags, and I'll probably pick up a real collapsible stock this weekend.

The thought of getting a real muzzlebrake and flash suppressor has crossed my mind.

Well, I WANT two FALs from DSA, and have the $$ for it, but DSA seems to have its head up its kiester these days. Four attempts by my dealer to place an order have gone unanswered, even after phone calls where he was told they'd "get right on it."

And coming soon....15 std cap magazines per firearm.
