What if you suddenly realized you had $500 placed in your hands and you could pick something/s off of your "to buy" list? I've got that opportunity in front of me - a belated CHristmas gift arrived and I'm thinking of what to do with it.
My shortened "to buy" list includes:
- M1 Carbine (Inland) for $420 thru CMP, plus a couple mags @ $15/per
- an AK from classicarms.us
- Save it toward an XDm 9mm, probably able to get it next month
- CZ 82 in 9mm mak plus a pot-wad of ammo and some other small "extras"
- XD 45 compact
- Ruger SP101 (this is the bottom of my list, as I have an LCR, a 4" Smith model 15 and a 6" GP100 covering my revolver bases.)
I was leaning toward the XDm, except for two things: One, the Carbine just sounds like a fun gun for the range and HD. Two, I'm hoping now that Springfield has come out with the 3.8", they might also make a compact XDm with the shorter grip frame - the full-size is just huge. Plus, XDs will always be around....Carbines, not so long.
No poll...just opinions...
Thanks,
