Hollywood seems to have a gift at mis-portraying Vietnam vets as maladaptive, broody, volatile, misunderstood misfits. Rambo typifies the stereotype. It used to bother me. It is what it is...B-grade entertainment. I've got more important things to occupy my thoughts these days like "What's for supper?" I'm 58 and lucky if I have 20 years left. A good meal, regularity, a pair of not-too-tight trousers...an occasional rambling post on the Internet. Who's got time for Rambo?
