What is the general consensus on the Kimber Solo?

I saw his video [watch all of them he comes out with, actually]. I was concerned a bit when he talked about how snappy it was.

My gunsmith bro is really wanting me to get one [mostly because I talked about how great it felt in my hand], but I'm just not sure I can . . . . pull the trigger. . . . on actually getting one.

It is my carry gun. Very accurate compared to other small pistols. Functions fine with handloads and factory ammo. All my kimbers are great guns, I do not have any of the bad kimbers one reads about on the forums. Ha. Most of the problems with any firearm are easily fixed. If you have a little common sense.

Casefull, I hear that they are quite snappy. But then, I suppose that's reletive to the shooter. I hope to try one out first before buying one.

I am interested in one, and the prices are coming down in my area. I have seem them for a bit over $600, or so. However, it is hard to beat the Shield for the price in a sub compact 9MM.

$600 is a really good price!
I owned a shield for one day &sold it.
The Solo is more accurate, and easier to conceal, but it is harder on your hand.
My Solo is more accurate than my M&P compact.

I had an early model...nothing but FTE...sent to Kimber...they said they fixed it....NOT...sent it back they sent a new one....sold it. Now I am thinking I may try another on simply because of the feel and the CT grips. Have a robr and a Sig 938 but they don't have the feel of this little gun. Shame Kimber can't make to reliable like the little robr. One other down side is the specific ammo that it has to fire. In reading the threads, seem its hit or miss on the reliability.
