Of my current rifles, I would have to say that my M700P chambered in .308 Win. This rifle is the one I shoot accurately, most consistently. My best groups measured 0.75" at 300 yards (benched w/ handloads). My other heavy barreled rifles are equally accurate, but I don't shoot them this accurately, as-consistently-as my M700P. That said, all of my heavy barreled rifles will always strike 3.5", AR500 steel discs at 300 yards (benched w/ handloads). Those rifles include:

.308 Win M700P
.308 Win M70 Stealth
.308 Win Kimber LPT
.223 Rem M700V
.223 Rem Vanguard VS

I have an old 1970's built Remington 600 Mohawk in .243 as well as an Ithaca LSA-55 in .243,also made in the early 1970's that are both very capable of shooting three shot groups that can be covered with a dime using lowly Federal Blue Box 100 grain ammo.
Imagine the feelings of the two well heeled guys shooting on my left and right a few years ago with big dollar rifles and optics that could not even get a two onch group out of those expensive rigs.
Which was most likely them and not their equipment, but still one of them spoke to me with a great deal of frustration.

And in reply to Huskers post #23,Remington never made the Mohawk in .223 but did make 315 vent rib 600's in 223 which are only worth a few thousand dollars.
So if you have a Mohawk in 223 then someone altered a .222 or put another barrel on it.

I have a couple Remington 700's, a Browning A bolt, a Marlin, and a Remington 788 that are all pretty accurate. But the most accurate is a 1942 Mk3 Enfield 303 British that my dad bought back in the day for $35.

I offered to buy it from him but he would have none of that, he told me it's not a great gun anyway just take it. I got him to drill and tap some holes so I could mount a scope on it, (I was about 16 at the time) he did that and I took a scope off one of my hunting rifles and sighted it in. Once zeroed I put 5 shots in one jagged hole you could cover with a nickle. I took the target back to him and he didn't believe I had done it at 100 yards. So he took it and made one big 5 shot hole that could almost be covered with a dime, when he walked up to target all he said was "I wish I had put a decent scope on that thing 20 years ago" to which I replied "to late now, now had me MY gun."

It is stock as far as I know. he said when he bought it it was so dirty it was almost black, he cleaned it up and such but apparently never shot it much. i have never took the scope off, a Leopold VX2. And the only thing I have ever shot through it is Remington 180gr round nose soft point. She has put a couple deer on my wall and several in the freezer since I got it. :D

Most of my stuff is retired military. Most accurate-Model 39 Nagant run thru the Tikka plant. Next at 1909 DWM built Peruvian Mauser and then the 96 Mauser Swedes are right on target.

Center Fire- M1903A3 Smith & Corona serial dates to 1945. All original parts non-refurb, non-sportsterized, original iron sights. Only missing the bayonet and the butt stock cleaning kit.

Rimfire- Savage Arms .17 hmr with Cabela's version of the "Tactical" Sweet .17 scope.

Currently a Vanguard in 270 Win. It's not too picky but loves Hornady 140 gr SST. The Timney didn't hurt either.

My Kimber Longmaster classic .223 and CZ 452 Trainer .22 lr are tied for first place.

MOA? Yep. Powell, BAT & Krieger.

My Brno model98 30-06 topped off with a Leupold 1-4x25 Varix 2. With 180 grain soft of any sort hand loaded or factory it drops impala with a head shot at 100m thats good enough for me. with this baby only 2 things can go wrong. me and me.

My Remington 700 SPS Tac in .308, with 20" bull barrel. This rifle consistently groups 1" at 100 yards, about half my groups come in at .75". My best lone group to date is 5/8" at 100 yards. I shoot 5 shot groups.

For Iron Sights: Swedish CG-63 target rifle with GF aperture sights. In 6.5x55mm
For Scope : 1930s vintage DWM M-98 action with a Douglas barrel in 7x57mm
Stock Military: 1900 Oberndorf Swedish Mauser m/96 in 6.5x55mm

My Savage Mark ll .22. I don't have exact group or MOA numbers, but the dang thing will pop whatever I point it at, up to 100 yards out. I'm splitting cigarettes at 50 yards with it too, off the bench.
