Most accurate military rifle, bolt and auto

Sadly, I associate that will all Carter Country interactions. Which is unfair of me. But, it did tend to send me to the range across the street from the TI plant (the name of which will pop up in my head in about 5 minutes--sigh)

That TI is now Sysco and the range name starts with a Hot and ends with a Wells. :)

No target selection whatsoever the last time I was at HW. You got an orange round circle target or the orange round circle target. Always hung in place by the range staff.

I never fired the K31 scoped at HW, though.

Easy for me. I have owned several military surplus rifles. Swiss, Mosin, Mauser, SKS, AK's and a Garand. None were impressive to me.
But I was impressed with the issue M-14 that I shot 9 out 10 shots in to 1 hole in training. I believe it was 40 meters. I also was impressed with the Colt M16A1 I shoot in training at Ft Dix. I easily qualified expert with it without a single miss out to 400 meters. I don't remember shooting groups with it so the
M-14 stands as the most accurate military rifle I ever shot. I have shot very good groups with my Del-Ton AR and others as well.

naughty, naughty! Read my original post, no scope sights allowed. :)
Okay, but then you're not measuring accuracy as much as you are someone's eyesight and ability to use iron sights. But it's your thread so I'll bow out.

Hmm, don't have a lot to compare with. If my 1891 Argentine Mauser counts (and it was originally surplus), that takes bolt for me. Also have a Czech Mauser, Ishapore, and Mosin Nagant. Only thing ever done to the Argentine was someone (Montgomery Wards, I think) cut down the front stock; I have since replaced that with an original configuration.

Surplus Semi, sadly my hands-on is limited even more. I guess my SKS by default. More accurate than any AK I fired, and I don't know if they really qualify as surplus, they were parts kits somewhere. Mine is a Yugo 59/66, and it's pretty dang accurate out to the distances I shoot.

If we're counting parts kits, I guess I will at some point figure out if my Century Cetme "sorta surplus" C308 is any good. So far, it's been a learning process, but at least it seems reliable.

I have two close friends, one is a former Army Sniper that shot an accurized and scoped M-14, The other is a National Guard state champion and Palma shooter that shoots a Match grade Colt M-16. I have not shot them but I trust these guys that they are very accurate.
If I were to shoot matches myself I would go with a match grade AR15. I was going to do that but just didn't have time.
