Ruger Security Six .357 NIB wouldn't fire double action
Ruger Blackhawk NIB .45 colt/.45 acp wouldn't even cycle .45 acp cylinder
Ruger M77V .308 NIB factory recall on safety.....shot hole in truck door
I know, I know Rugers are the best thing around and built like tanks......ask me if I'll buy another one.

I had no intentions on brand bashing. Just the biggest POS gun I ever bought happned to be a Ruger MINI-14. I own more rugers than any other brand of firearm (mostly revolvers though). Ruger makes awesome revolvers and .22's. Just not rifles IMHO. I stick with Remington for rifles and shotguns, Ruger for revolvers and .22's. Mostly springfield for auto's. These may not be the best they are just what works for me. No manufacturer has a full line up of flawless products.

In more than 40 years of shooting and owning guns, I can't think of any that were a POS. Guess I've been lucky.

I've owned my share over the years too, but have tended to stick with Colt, S&W, Browning, etc. Never owned a Kahr, Kimber, Taurus, or anything that's come out "new" in the last 20 years.

For the last 15 years or so, most of my gun purchases have been used. That's especially true of pistols. Guess I just like the older stuff - especially the S&Ws -- and the great value they represent.
