What is the most recent knife you bought?

I could not find my favorite Kabar Dozier design folding hunter for the life of me. So I bought three more just in case. Also got one of the smaller version of the same knife. But it's too small to be an EDC for anything other than going to the office.

On my way to the garden yesterday I happened to look down and found the lost Kabar. Near miracle with it being the color it is lying in the grass. The others will make for nice spares or giveaways to friends. Glad to have the now getting wear on it original back. Now if I can find the mini barrage that's been missing for a year or more I'll go buy a fistful of lottery tickets.

I treated myself to one of these Tops "Bird and Trout" knives a few minutes ago. Actually, I just ordered it - it hasn't shipped yet.
Wife and I have probably done more fishing in the last few months since the virus thing started than we did in the past 10 years. I thought I might as well have a designated knife for it. Besides, I was bored this afternoon - a bored old guy with internet access and a credit card might not represent the embodiment of financial wisdom.;)

Sometimes I get bored, especially lately with the pandemic, and get dumb ideas. I was sitting around in my sleeping shorts sipping whiskey one evening and realized that I had no knife on me. So I bought this inexpensive Byrd Robin 2 as a pajama knife! Any of you guys have a pyjama knife?

What a brilliant idea!

This is the last one I bought. A 'Dewclaw' from Skallywag Tactical.

Definitely not a pajama knife.

Pajama knife!
What a great idea!
Not that at 71, I want to get in a knife fight in my draws  but it is an excuse to wear a neck knife.
I have a few I can use but my favorite is a small Owens/Shirley Kiri, made by our own San Owen.
Razor scary sharp made from an old file, scaled with green nylon and has the most comfortable choil of any knife I own.

Kershaw Launch 11, great size for EDC, solid lock up, no blade play, nice looking and made in USA

A S&W boot knife- knockoff of the Gerber MK2. Strictly as a self defense blade. I will carry a small pen knife with it to do important things that don't require a fighting dagger- like opening a can of copenhagen.

Just acquired another Case Peanut with stag handles after looking for the best example I could find in a two year search. My first stag Peanut was given to me by my dad decades ago. Darn near got eliminated from the will when the first thing I did was sharpen it to my standards...said standards taught me by my dad; may God rest his soul.

... Mr O.
