What is the most recent knife you bought?

It feels a little nuts the first few times you do it doesn’t it? I pretty much only carry my knives in that price range in the office or in the city.

And chance of banging around the yard or going to the woods that day, and a ZT goes in the pocket.
I still don't, my cutoff is about $600 or so. I've never carried anything above the Hinderer/CRK range and honestly have typically carried something like $200-400 more often than that. I own a lot of knives over that range, but my life never really requires more than a small folder, so most of the ones I own were bought for the collection.

I do remember the first time I put a Hinderer in my pocket instead of a Spyderco though! Very weird feeling at first!

Is that an Alias? I had an Alias II a long time ago, I remember when everyone was talking about whether they were going to be the poor man's Sebenza!

I consider the now discontinued Benchmade 761 as the "poor man's Sebenza." I call it the "Benchbenza."

Got a Besttech Ronan cause up above @hso got one. Copy cat, 🐈 yes, by all means
, of course. I listen, if he says it’s a good deal, it’s a good deal. Boy was he right. Already cut myself. It’s sharp. But what you notice first is it’s heavy. Sturdy is more like it. Thanks HSO. You can see the cut on my knuckle. Happens when you play with sharp objects.

Is that a hollow grind or a flat grind?

Spartan. First one of these I got. Needed sharpening out of the box and opens pretty stiff. Still really like it.
I talked to Spartan about how stiff it opened. They promptly send me another one that was sharp and opened like it should. Also included a shirt and a return envelope for mine to see what was wrong. Great service.

Very proud of myself, I made it nearly twelve hours into the New Year without buying a knife, so I rewarded myself with a knife.

Jerry Hossom has 'retired' but chosen the path of Working Hard vs. Hardly Working. He has passed his patterns on to his son Alex, but seems to be pumping out nearly as many himself as he ever did.

Bought indirectly through a trade and was basically NIB:
Cobratec Trapper - Pretty impressed with the overall build for a $75 range knife. Can use some clean-up as there are coarse grit grind marks prior to their buffing. One of those things as a maker I want to clean up.
