The reason the "other" category is so strong is because, like previous posters, my favorite is American Handgunner. Can't imagine a Gun Mag list not including it!

Another vote for American Handgunner. I have multiple gun rag subscriptions, but when they expire, the only one I'll be renewing is American Handgunner.

Hey! Your poll excluded:

RIFLE and HANDLOADER, which are the only two I buy other than backwoodsman. Some on your list are OK, but others are just glossy schlock.

Guns/American Handgunner

John Connor is my favorite writer, if for no other reason than his "L/Cpl-in-a-mudhole" attitude.

I found the newest issue of Special Weapons for Military and Police rather comical. The cover touts Alexander Arms .50 Beowulf as "the ultimate entry gun."

The next Charlie Cutshaw article titled ".338 Spectre" is subtitled "Ultimate CQB Carbine."

The next Charlie Cutshaw article titled "I.O. INC STG-2000C 7.62X39mm" is subtitled "Based on the classic AK, it's the ultimate CQB carbine."

Later in the same issue, we have Bob Pilgrim's article titled "D&L Signature CQB II 5.56mm" and subtitled "Entry gun perfection; it's the ultimate close quarter combat carbine!"

I'll admit I only pick this rag up for the pictures. Every black rifle article will go on for almost 50% of its content on the attachments they chose to put on it rather than the rifle itself. The attachments are the same every month so i think they just copy and paste the page that goes on and on about the EOTech, AN-PVS-22, and Laser Devices' DBAL-A2. I don't care about these. GUNS is my fav mag.

American Handgunner and Guns. Even though I get American Rifleman with my Life membership I very seldom read much more than The Armed Citizen. Usually read the other two cover to cover.

Thanks, Linda!

You beat me to it!

I was thinking of voting "other" and posting something like,

"One that's weightless, bottomless, never breaks, is free if you want another one...

Of the paper ones, Women and Guns is my favorite because it seems to be the only rational non-silly one.

And I am a boy-type person!

(edited to change "yoy" to "you")

Hmm, must go vote that way, now.

Shotgun News, just to get a ballpark on what's out there.
Helps that a co-worker hands his on to me.

Don't actually buy any paper media any more, as Internet sources are free, timely, and more honest.

The only reason I read long verbose articles (printed on dead tree carcasses) about new products is to figure out how anyone can manage to write long verbose articles about new products. Little is truly new, and even less warrants such wordiness in invariably glowing terms.
