I really like all my guns and trust them with my life, but between the Sig P220 carry, XD9, CZ75B, Bersa Thunder 380, Ruger LCR and Glock36, Stoeger Cougar in .40, I would choose my Taurus PT1911. I love the feel, the steel, heft, pointability and crsip single action trigger.

I like all of the pistols that I own and I like shooting all of the pistols that I own. I only have pistols chambered in .45 ACP (4) and 9mm Luger (2) and if I had to pick one, it'd be the SIG P220 Combat. To be honest though, I'd never part with any of my P220s or P225s ... NEVER!!!

Sadly the only pistol I own is a 9mm. But that will change soon enough. Either an STI Spartan in .45 or a glock 22/23.

have a few to choose from but i like my old colt 1911 originally bought for $45.00 and my amt long slide with para ordnance hi capacity alloy lower 15+1 same weight as 1911 full magazine .

Both my Sig 226 and M&P9c are chambered in 9mm Luger. It's cheap. It has low recoil, and it is deadly with modern defense loadings. It works for me.

A 1911 in .45 ACP is next on the wish list though.

I find it interesting that there is not much love for .40 in this poll!

I would have voted .22lr. I really enjoy the Ruger Mk III and Browning Buckmark. Both great pistols. Otherwise, the 1911 is always fun.

I voted .38sp... mostly because thats all I have currently. I do love my S&W Model 64 though, its 30 years old and looks and shoots like new. Wonderful little piece.

I'll hopefully be adding 9mm to my safe this weekend.. so may have to change my vote!

G22 and G27. I like 'em just fine in .40, but to be honest, I might like 'em a little better if they were 9mm instead. One of these days I'll have to buy a G17 and a G26 and find out.

Another fave is my Kahr P380. I'm not a huge fan of the caliber (.380, obviously), but it's small and light enough to drop into my pocket no matter what I'm wearing, and I shoot it fairly well, so it deserves a mention.

A Colt 1911 Series 70, suitably modified by Wilson, was my go-to pistol for a quarter-century, so I'm just completely comfortable with .45 ACP. The 1911 pretty much stays on the shelf now, as I prefer the Glock 21.

This like asking which child you love the most. If I had to pick, it would probably be my 6" blued Colt Python. Or my Kimber Custom Defender II. Or my 4" blued S&W Model-19. Or my .38spl Colt Police Positive made in 1932. Or my S&W Model-17. Or one of my CZ's. They all have different functions and uses and I like all my pistols and revolvers.

Well I love em all But would have to say the 357 mag Ruger Security Six 4" Gose to the
range most always, I don't CC it. I'd hate to have it confiscated & lost if God Forbid
I had to use it. Could'nt replace my Fathers old Duty gun ; ) Got to pass it down
