What is your most prized gun?

I'm going to give three, because I just can't decide on one.

Pistol: Kel Tec PLR 16 (First gun I bought with my own money)
Rifle: Winchester lever action 30-30 (my great uncle's, with a 1949 serial number)
Shotgun: Beretta Silver Pigeon (my dad gave to me for my 16th B-Day)

Nearly unfired Long Lee-Enfield commercial ("Lee-Speed") rifle is the crown jewel of my collection, with second place tied between my original Enfield L1A1 and Sterling SMG.

My most prized firearms are Colt Diamondbacks in various configurations. In particular I like the 2.5" Diamondback 22's.

Colt New Frontier. It is my 1st gun, my grandpa gave it to me and I even have the sales slip from when he bought it in 1972. This gun will get handed down to my son or daughter.

Rembrandt - what's the story behind your Moses signed gun? Is that an 1863 Springfield?

My mst prized gun is my newly aquired Tokarev that I got from my grand-father. maybe nothing special to every body else, but it's the first gun I ever came in contact with, and i remember my grandfather carring it.
my second favorite is my marlin 336 30-30 that I got late last year. nice, solid, reliable shooter that will fit most any circumstance that I come across.

I have always been a collector of mil surp weapons and have a great respect for my Garands, Enfields, Mausers, P38's ect. I have learned to have an even greater respect and admiration for those who carried them into battle. My dad, a WWII 82nd ariborne vet, never wanted to talk about his time in service, my son, preparing for his 3rd tour with the 101st rarely talks about his deployments. It's too tough a call for me so in honour of our currently deployed forces, I'll go with the M16/M4 by the smallest of margins over the M1 garand.
Thanks.
Pat

Unfortunately no 1863, but a customized 10/22. It was during one of Heston's last public appearances. The stock was sitting around prepped and stained but no finish applied. When I found out we would again meet, took the stock and a silver paint marker just in case. He was gracious enough to autograph it even though his hands were shaking badly due to ravages of illness. After wards finished the stock in an automotive urethane to protect the signature. Didn't really want my name on it, but that's how he chose to do it, so left it that way. Had the honor of working with him on previous events, so it was hard to see his health deteriorate from earlier years. He will be missed, but thankful for the time we had him on our side.

I've got a Wilson Combat CQB but its a safe queen because I'd never want to use it in a self defense shooting and have it confiscated by the cops. The chances of ever seeing it again would be "slim" and "none".

There are three.

first and foremost is my dads Model 94 SRC.

Second and third is rifles from my dad's dad.

A #4 Remington Rolling Block take-down model octagonal barrel in 22 Short

And a Winchester 1890 take-down model octagonal barrel in 22 Short.

The #4 was manufactured in 1908 and the 1890 in 1907. They have been in my family for a few years, and will stay that way. :)

Believe it or not, an SKS!

I have several more expensive, more collectible, more accurate, more...you name the adjective...guns, but this one was a gift from my Dad.

Marlin 39A. I'm not actually sure who "owns" this gun, my father, brother, or me. But it is currently in my possession :). I have much nicer guns and guns I shoot far more often, but I spent countless hours in the woods as a kid plinking with this gun and it is very special to me.

First-year production 1952 Remington 760 pump 30'06. All-original, very accurate, good-lookin', 5-digit serial #. Gorgeous!

My dad's 1965 royal blue 4" Colt Python. It went with him to SE Asia & Germany while in the Army. I love shooting my S&W 27-2 5" more, but the Python is my "prized gun" because of where it has been.

1968 Colt Python is my most valuable....my most prized? Probably that or my Model 10-8....maybe my CDP Ultra II Custom.

An all original, as new, IBM M1 carbine that I got from the 84 year old vet to whom it was originally issued in November 1944. Barely even fired.
