While I don't have anything firearm related, I plan on finishing a couple of pistol targets. The 6" rounds will become the heads and the 13" high X 7 1/2" wide will approximate a COM shot. The plates will be mounted with grade 8 carriage bolts that are long enough that I can attach the chains or straps back and make them angle forward to deflect some spatter downward.

I bought these 3/8" AR500 plates from Wideners.

I bought some 3/8" X 2" wide steel for side supports and burned holes with chain slots into each.

I have yet to trim them at the bottom to fit into my stands, sharpen the leading edges to minimize ricochet or deflection, heat and bend them to make a wider vertical stand to fit into my already made target stands (blue stands on left)

They should end up looking like this but I'm not sure if I'll use chains or straps.

Trying to learn the very basics about improving wooden stocks.

The primary objective is storing even more contingency (inflation, over-inflated politicians' egos, UN treaties etc) ammo.

Just finished the Savage Hog Hunter rebuild. Had a heck of a time figuring out a subsonic load that burned consistent but I figured it out. That was it for now so nothing new on the horizon.

I've got close to that same setup with my MN 91/30. Boyd's Featherweight Thumbhole stock, Timney trigger, similar bipod to yours, needing another scope as the recoil busted the old scope I had on it.

But that stock... makes for a sweet-looking rifle.

Well, here's the short list for my next trip home :

1) Mount the newly acquired Trijicon ACOG on my Franken-FAL Para
2) Complete tasks on said Franken-FAL by adding a pin to the lower to limit the selector range of motion
3) Get tritium sights mounted on FNP 45
4) Headspace “Rhodesian” FAL and another FAL Para
5) Fit 45ACP barrel and stainless MSH to Para-Ordnance Nite Tac
6) Complete 6.8 SPC AR Handgun build – install night sights and finish lower
7) Upgrade grips on AMT 1911
8) Swap out upper on Retro AR with correct A1 upper

I have a half dozen AK kits with receivers and 922(r) compliance parts which are going to have to wait. Hopefully I'll have time to organize the bunker a little better - maybe install a shelf unit to sort ammo on.

Two projects here.

First is a Baer Pll that is at the engraver's for full coverage "American Scroll" with borders, then to Bob Cogan for HC'ing.

Second is another P-35 (BHP) that is being checkered 40 LPI (frontstrap), hammer/sear(flat)trigger/thumb safety replaced, Novak rear sight, Dawson FO front, then frame HC'd and slide finished in "Melonite".

El Paso Saddlery is making a "BBQ"/old school floral carved rig for the Baer 1911.

Stocking 7.62x39, getting some .30-06 and .243 handloads, and finishing my Saiga and Savage projects.

Fella's;

Thursday I cut the re-bar for the benches & yesterday we welded up the seating for them. The seats will then swivel on the rear main post for either a left or right handed shooter. We plan to set the forms on Sunday & pour concrete on Tuesday. It's coming right along.

Building a NJ legal AR-15 trying to get as close as possible to the real thing. Finding 15rd magazines was a trip but remaining compliant is a dance in of itself. They really don't like making things easy for us here.

I'm fitting a laminated stock from Richard's to my left handed commercial Zastava Mauser to replace the club like walnut one it came with. I'm also accumulating the stuff I need to make ammo and cast boolets for a 94 Big Bore in 375 Winchester I recently acquired.

Building an early 1770's Lancaster rifle of the Andreas Albrecht variety. Filing and inletting ramrod pipes today.

Suppressed 10.5" AR SBR in .300 Blk.
It's been a year long project, complete with parts shortages and waits on 2 ATF stamps, but I have everything together and assembled. Everything, that is, except for ammo :(

Last stage of the build will be buying reloading dies and components so that I can actually shoot this thing.

Next project will probably be figuring out how to thread a P64 and then convincing some gunsmith that they really want to thread it for me (already had a few decline to even give me a quote on price). I know it's not gonna be as quiet as a gun with a Brownig action, but that p64 will look awesome with my micro suppressor!
