What is your regular 9mm target load?

124 or 125g jacketed projectile
Winchester Super Field Powder (WSF)
Winchester-published load data.

Preferred projectile is the 125g HAP for great accuracy.

147 grain Rainier plated FP
4.0 grains SR 7625
1.120" OAL
930 fps

This load has shot well for me over the years in a USP, CZ 75B and Glock 19.

124 gr Precision Delta FMJ
4.8 gr Universal
Any ole SPP but usually a Rem 1 1/2
Only Winchester brass
OAL 1.35

Ejects about 4' where Winchester White Box 115 gr ejects about 10' and functions consistant, reliable, & accurate in every one of my pistols.

My current 9mm load:

Montana Gold 115gr FMJ
OAL is 1.135"
CCI 500 primer
Unique (based on manuals I have been experimenting between 5.0 grains and 5.8 grains)

This load is actually confusing me. My manuals indicate about 5.6 grains up to 6.2 grains. The alliant website shows max of 6.3

I have found that 5.6 and 5.8 grains feels a little snappy and since I was looking for target loads I have been slowly reducing the charge. I have created loads at 5.4 grains and 5.2 grains which also feel a little snappy, although less so. My newest load is 5.0 grains of Unique. I am starting to think I am going too low in the range.

4.0 gr of W231 is below start charge, even for lead load data. For me, 4.6 gr of W231/HP-38 and 115 gr FMJ starts to reliably cycle the slides of Gen3 Glocks with new factory recoil spring assemblies. Perhaps you are using 124/125 gr bullets or well used recoil springs?

Hodgdon load data

My 9mm reference load is with Winchester 115 gr FMJ and 4.8 gr of W231/HP-38 at 1.125" - 1.135" OAL.

Here's 1999-2005 Winchester load data comparing 115 gr FMJ vs JHP powder charges along with 124 FMJ.

It cycles fine in my G-19 but after reading your post and several others and looking at other data sources I am going to bump it to 4.4 with a 1.100 COAL and see how that works.

Precision Delta 124 FMJ or HP
5.0 Winchester WSF
Whatever small pistol primer I happen to have on hand.

Runs good in my HK P30, P2000, and my wife's 9mm CCO 1911.

173gr Lead swc
2.7gr AA#2
OAL: 1.135

My CZ 75b Loves this rounds but the glock can't hit anything with it

124 gr JPH (Montana Gold), 4.0-4.2 gr. of ZIP, CCI or Win SPP. Cycles my M&P9 100%, but shoots and ejects so softly the brass sometimes lands on top of the gun. Fun to shoot fast!

124 rln MO bullet company
4.3 gr bullseye
federal match primer
winchester brass
Conveniently ejects casings right next to my feet

124 gr FMJ or Rem. H.P. with 6.5 grs. HS6/Fed. SRP/Win. or Starline brass.
This is a +P load shot thru a 1911.

(The load below is safe in my guns, but is a maximum load. Work up to it and remember that changes in seating depth in a case that small can make a big difference in pressure levels.)

Winchester 115 JHP,
Win Brass and Primer
Win 231 or HP38 4.8 gr for 1150 fps, chronographed in a Sig 226
Seated to 1.125" LOA

Best Regards, Rod

With MBC 125 gr IDP #5, SWC, and 9 Cone I use 5 gr AA# 5, 3.8 gr Bullseye or 4gr HP 38
With MBC 145 FP I use 4.8 gr AA# 5. 3.3 gr HP38,or 3 gr Bullseye

I have two 9mm target loads:

124gr LRN bullet
Any name brand brass
CCI500 primer
4.0gr W231

124gr Zero FMJ bullet
Any name brand brass
CCI500 primer
4.4gr W231

When I load 124gr Rem JHP bullets for more serious work I use Longshot and I like Winchester and Federal brass...

target loads

I use two loads
4.2gr WST with a hardcast 124 gr truncated cone
4.2g Red dot with a cast 125g LRN.
the LRN push right at 1100 fps with no leading and the WST is just a tad slower with the Truncated cone 124G.
Never had any FTF or jams with these and they are accurate and for me, comfortable to shoot

I am using Rainier 147 grain HP with 4.3 of Unique. Alliant says that is good for 954 fps when using Speer GDHP bullets. I don't know for sure what I am getting for speed but in an LC9 they are almost perfect POI to POA.

115grain Missouri LRN with 3.2gr of Clays, and these days Wolf primers as I happen to have several thousand, but I get the same results with CCI and Federal primers. Cheap, accurate, soft shooting, and while it's a little dirty, my XD9 has still run through 5k rounds and still hasn't gotten dirty enough to cause issues.

124 gr. Meistercast TC over 4.4 grs 231 with WSP. Shoots well in my Glocks, an STI Trojan and Beretta 92.

However, I have a BHP with a bore that slugs .359. The 124 meistercast is .356 and wobbles down the barrel leaving a lot of lead behind. I opened up a lee mold for .357 to .361, which shoots super accurate in that gun.
