I just picked up a few more folders. A Spyderco Tenacious combo edge, Kershaw Ember, Kershaw Scallion, and CRKT M16SFG. Will typically EDC my new Tenacious and Dragonfly.

I don't have one knife I carry everyday. I have a handful that I typically have one of depending on what I'm doing. I generally like to have one utility type knife and one defensive blade. My go to carry is the Esee Izula II. I like the Spyderco reverse for defense. Spyderco Reverse resized.JPG Izula II resized.JPG

Just picked up a second Spyderco Tenacious combo edge and a Tiger Stripe Kershaw Blur, and a CRKT M16 14ZLEK(w/glass breaker and seat belt cutter)

today we may wander the back forty for squaw wood ( not meant to insult any squaws ). So it's the Gurka Kukri from ACC edge ground by the local wizard and sharpened to a fare the well on my tri-angle. EDC is a Cold Steel holdout 3" and a Cold Steel medium voyager (3") as Delaware is funny about calling a knife clipped to your pocket in plain view 'concealed'. In Va, Cali, we have more interesting choices ;)

Love the Izula and the Izula II ... in fact, I refrain from posting about ESEE knives 'cause I'm afraid of coming across as a paid shill for ESEE.

Today I carried an inexpensive SOG Trident, a knife I carry if I'm worried about carrying more expensive knives, but one I know is reliable enough to take care of routine business (like cutting open the tape on cases of ammo at the range).

The most basic little Victorinox:
  • Blade
  • Scissors
  • Screwdriver/Nail file
  • Toothpick
  • Tweezers
Since I don't plan on skinning an animal anytime soon at work,,,
This is all the knife I usually need.

I probably use the scissors more than anything.

.

I never realized how handy scissors were until I started carrying a victorinox that had some. They are awesome.

My weekend carry around the homestead is a Victorinox One-Hand Trekker (serrated), and my day job carry is a Kershaw 1660CKT Ken Onion Black Leek. The Trekker is too big in my pockets and the tools are unnecessary at my day job.

I've got a three bladed Old Timer.

Unfortunately, it's a stainless bladed one because I broke a blade on the one with carbon steel blades. I have stainless blades in most pocket knives. They don't take an edge worth a darn and they don't hold an edge worth a darn either.

I'm sure I've got another Old Timer with carbon steel blades around somewhere, I just have to find it.

Just added some Talon grip tape to my EDC Spyderco Tenacious with a zip tie wave mod. I carry that as my primary defense blade. I also EDC a Spyderco Dragonfly 2 for utility purposes. And I also EDC a CRKT Minimalist on my belt in the SOB position as a backup to either of the others.

Kame B. , I have the exact same Old Time pictured in post # 33. I keep it in my home "office" drawer to open mail, destroy old credit cards, etc..... This is a "very old" Old Timer.
For everyday carry, it is a 3" Schrade (which also made Old Timer and Uncle Henry ) lock blade with front pocket clip, which is very sharp on point and edge. This is legal carry, when "weapons" are not allowed. It is no longer made, but would like another. Over the years I've owned all three brands, and have been pleased with these moderately priced knives, which have suited my needs.

I have an Imperial pocket folding two blade, with NRA logo on large blade that is at least 20 years old, working perfectly and holds a good hard edge.

Also, I have an M7 bayonet made for the M16 rifle, that I removed the bayonet locking lug and top part down to the plastic. The ringed rifle barrel attachment/crossbar was trimmed back to about 40 % closest to the handle/grip, for easier close body carry. My tools were hacksaw and hand file.

I have others, also. Knives are cheaper than guns. Duh !!!
