<smart-a>Me, I can't openly carry any states - not even the State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations!</smart-a>

Sorry, couldn't resist.

More pertinently, my state, WI, has legal open carry. That being said, in the urban areas of the state, your odds of being hassled by the police (and probably charged with criminal disorderly conduct) are roughly one in one.

In Indiana, IIRC it is only legal as long as you have your permit.

In kentucky I beleive open carry is legal. I wonder if someone opened carried in kentucky, what are they chances they would be hassled by the police? Maybe get charged with disorderly conduct? Are there any places to avoid besides the bigger cities?

Montana:

45-8-351. Restriction on local government regulation of firearms. (1) Except as provided in subsection (2), no county, city, town, consolidated local government, or other local government unit may prohibit, register, tax, license, or regulate the purchase, sale or other transfer (including delay in purchase, sale, or other transfer), ownership, possession, transportation, use, or unconcealed carrying of any weapon, including a rifle, shotgun, handgun, or concealed handgun.
(2) (a) For public safety purposes, a city or town may regulate the discharge of rifles, shotguns, and handguns. A county, city, town, consolidated local government, or other local government unit has power to prevent and suppress the carrying of concealed or unconcealed weapons to a public assembly, publicly owned building, park under its jurisdiction, or school, and the possession of firearms by convicted felons, adjudicated mental incompetents, illegal aliens, and minors.
(b) Nothing contained herein shall allow any government to prohibit the legitimate display of firearms at shows or other public occasions by collectors and others, nor shall anything contained herein prohibit the legitimate transportation of firearms through any jurisdiction, whether in airports or otherwise.

Actually I would expect less reaction from the sheeple to an open carry. If I am so bold, I must be legit, right?
Sheeple will probably not notice concealed carry even if you're printing severely. It doesn't even cross their minds that you might be carrying a gun. You may know what printing looks like, but someone who's never carried a gun concealed almost certainly doesn't. How would they? They've never associated "mysterious lumps under shirt" with "gun", which isn't a reliable association these days with belt-mounted cell phones, odd keychains, and electronic gadgets. You could wear a tight t-shirt over a firearm in an iwb holster and I doubt you'd generate any 911 calls.

If sheeple knew what concealed carry looked like, they might get agitated because "police carry their guns visibly." But they don't, so they don't.

You might get more reaction from police, though, if you're carrying concealed rather than openly.
