What to carry that requires twice daily administrative handling?

What you are saying is exactly right except for one thing, it is not at all the situation in an automobile.
lol,,,,very true. :)

It was tucked under my left leg in a vehicle.

These days a P-365 is on a magnet under the dash on the right side. Generally with the mag full, chamber empty.

Guess I may have not followed along correctly, so please forgive.

Buy, why exactly, were you downgrading your ccw from, let us say, a Ruger GP100 to a G19 to start with?

Just kidding - kind of.

I don’t understand the question.

My only CCW piece I’ve ever had is a G19.

Under what circumstances would your employer ever consider searching your car if you do not sign the form or ever bring it up to them?

Carrying is blatantly breaking policy, but discreetly storing your firearm in your locked car - inside the holster, seems like the smartest, safest option.

Hopefully your state laws will change. Recently it became law in my state that an employer could not regulate keeping firearms in locked cars parked on premise. To disarm you while you are working is one thing, but to deter you from exercising your rights to and from work is even more ridiculous.

Came here to say, magazine disconnect; felt a little dirty in saying it but just an idea.

I had a job that stated you were not allowed to keep a gun in your car in the employee parking lot even though its a violation of FL law.

If the employee discovers you have a gun in the car I'm sure they can come up with another reason to fire you. You would then have to prove they violated the law, and most would not have the funds to wage this fight

Sadly in the end, the employer can always fire you and make up another reason why, even if you are protected by law. A court case is not something the average citizen has the pockets or time to take up, especially against a large corporation.

Crime happens fast, and usually when you don’t expect it. Some very knowledgeable people say that carrying without one in the chamber puts you at a disadvantage and I 100% believe them.

But!

For this particular case, I think it really does make the most practical sense.

I’d consider spending some extra time with snapcaps and drills.
