First handgun was a S&W Model 681. Very good gun. Still have it.

First pistol was a CZ40B, that was regretfully traded.

A Ruger 10/22 still own it and its still in top condition won't sell it for anything or any amount of money only cost $86 back in the day out the door with a couple cartons of ammo.

Daisy BB gun. Then I gradualted to a Savage single barrel .410. I was in the big time. :)

Stevens Favorite Single shot .22 rifle. My Great Uncle bought it new around 1915 for $3.50.
My Great Aunt gave it to me when I was 12.

Shot jackrabbits in high school and college and sold them for mink food for $.50 apiece. Long Rifles were too expensive at $.50 a box. At $.35 a box for Longs I could make enough money to keep me in gas and beer!!

First rifle: winchester 62a gallery pump .22 (@13)
First shotgun: remington 870 wingmaster 12 ga. (@16)
First pistol (revolver): Ruger Super Single Six .22 / .22 Mag (@18)
First pistol (semi-auto): High Standard Supermatic Trophy (Military Frame) .22 lr (@20)

1st long gun - Savage Model 24, .22 over 20 gauge. ($40 new in 1969)
1st handgun - High Standard Marshall, sold it after about a year and bought a Smith and Wesson 17. ($145 brand new in 1974)

My very first gun was a gift from my Dad. A Ruger MKI. I still have it. I wouldn't be surprised if the round count was over 100,000 (we used to shoot alot in the old days).

The first centerfire gun (also from dad) was a Colt Government model. Series 80. It's been heavily modified, but I still have it.

The first gun I bought on my own (after turning 21) was a Taurus PT-99. Exceptional piece. Unfortunately, I traded it to my dad for something else and he subsequently traded it off on something else he liked.

My most interesting "first" is a gun my father bought for himself, kept it for 10 years, then gave it to his dad who subsequently gave it back to him. Hung on to it for a while, then gave it to me. So, I have this really pristine S&W 19-3 that was owned by my grandfather and my father.

My first was one of Taurus' first 380's that I bought NIB....thing was junk :barf: I sold it & than promptly put the money into my HK P7M8 that has been with me ever since.

S&W Military Police .38 special my dad bought used in 1932. Still puts rounds down range where I'm aiming. Best trigger in SA of any firearm I own. One of these days I ought to take it to a smith since it hasn't been to one in 80 years.

First gun(s)

Well since this is the autoloader thread I'll name that one first.
Auto: Beretta 950 BS .25 acp (sold it years ago regretted it and bought one last week)
First gun of any kind: 16 guage Stebens double barrel. Got it from my uncle less than a year before he died, I was twelve.
First revolver: 3 inch model 13 Smith. Traded it and a model 21A .22lr for a 4 inch model 65, less than a week the 65 was gone and I bought my 13 back for more money. Will never part with it again.
First sworn duty gun: Glock 22 .40, sold me on autos but still could'nt sway from rotating Smiths.
