What was your first gun.

I bought a used Ruger 10/22 when I was 14, still have it, and put a few hundred rounds through it nearly every time I go shooting. I don't know how many rounds it's seen in the 27 years I've owned it, maybe 100,000? It's my favorite gun and probably always will be. I bedded, re-shaped, and re-finished the stock when I was 16 or so. It's one of the few blonde 10/22s I've seen and it gets compliments from nearly everyone that sees it. Shortly after the stock work I put a Bushnell zoom scope on it that was on clearance in a Gander Mountain mail order catalog. Then I did my own trigger job and de-burred and polished every moving part of the action. The action is 100% original parts and the only time it FTFs is when it's *extremely* dirty.

Thinking about it, I don't have a single picture of my 10/22. I'm going to have to fix that!

First gun: I was given my grandfather's Remington 41 target master at age 8
First gun purchased: I skrimped and saved, and at age twelve had enough for my father to purchase a winchester 9422 xtr for me.
First Centerfire: An Ithaca 87 Deerslayer and a spare 28 in. vr barrel.
Still own and shoot all three.

First rifle I was given was a Henry golden boy (.22LR), the first rifle I bought was a Mosin Nagant M44 carbine, and the first handgun I bought is a Jericho .45. Still have them all and shoot them regularly, although the .22 could use a little attention.

A Star 1911 knockoff in .380 of all things. I got it because I didn't know any better. I suppose it was ok, cheap & accurate. Once I began to know more about guns, I sold it to pay for part of a S&W model 66.

It was a Berretta .22 with the tip-up barrel. I remember walking into Montgomery Ward in Longview, WA and making the purchase with nary a paper to sign (1964) then taking the gun home with me. Ah, the good old days!

Ruger standard bought with my 11 B-day money and dad goin halves with me on it, I still have it, and it had to be rebuilt over the summer by Ruger. It was the best investment I ever made, and I will pass it on to my daughter when she turns 11.

My first gun was a Mossberg bolt action .410 shotgun. My great grandfather gave it to me when he was in his mid 90's and descided he didn't need it anymore. It is still in my possession and always will be. Although it has little monitary value it is priceless to me.

first brand new gun was a marlin 444.still have it.still have a scar between my eyes.lesson learned; never let someone who wont shoot it mount your scope!

First one, other than the Daisy Red Ryder, was a Remington Model 11 12 gauge when I was 12. Great grandpa bought it new and I'm the 4th generation to use it. First gun I bought was a Virginian Dragoon in .44 mag when i was 21.

Marlin model 70 when I was a teenager. I had it for about 20 years until I gave it back to my Uncle, because it was his first gun.

My first gun was a used Marlin Model 80, bolt action .22lr. And yes, I still have it. Still shoot it. Still love it.

It's a tack driver, and I've never failed to hit anything I've aimed at with this gun.

I got a used 16 guage bolt action Stevens for Christmas when I was 15. Sure got many rabitt and squirrel with it.

I am a relatively young shooter, so the majority of my guns have been gifts from my extremely pro-gun parents. But about half a year ago, I bought my first gun. A Mosin Nagant. Not fancy, not expensive, but I'm still proud of it and enjoy shooting it.

I had a Daisy Pal. First gun given to me was ruger 10/22 stainless. First firearm I bought was a ruger MKII varmint in 22-250. Still the most accurate rifle I have ever owned.
