What would you do?

I was under the impression that you had to remove yourself from the threat 1st and foremost, if possible....
In Oklahoma if you are a permit holder you automatically assume anyone elses right to defend themselves if they are in dire circumstances i.e. robbery.

I bought my first handgun the day I turned 18, a used Kimber 1911. At 18 years old you can own a handgun (inherited, bought, gift). Federal law, however, limits the purchase of new handguns to individuals 21 and over.

Catch of it is ... at 18, yes you can own a handgun, but try buying ammo for it!
I always bought it for my "carbine" :D

Go home and read through threads at THR. I am not a cop.
What if they shot you on their way out of the store, took your car, went to your house and started posting misleading responses on threads at THR? For all we know you could be a gang banging imposter. All because you didn't help out the clerk at the convenience store. :neener:

Same here, I always wondered what they thought at Wal*Mart ... when I had 800 rds of FMJ and a universal pistol cleaning kit :neener:

Not to mention Michigan being an open carry state, walking down the street to the pawn shop to get ammo (before they closed two or three years back) carrying OWB and buying 9mm ... the guy asked me one day, if it really was for a handgun I said "Nope, the one on my hip is a .45!"

Three guys with guns, one away from the other two, if they had decided to pull their guns it may have turned out badly. One on one is a lot different than three to one. He's lucky it turned out as it did.

I think the kid hiding his gun on the way in shows that they were going to wait until he left before robbing the place. He was lucky to catch them off-guard, and that they werent determined enough to just shoot him on the way in when HE would have been off-guard

That would be extremely unfortunate. Though, you should be able to figure out an impostor is posting when the posts go "keyboard commando".

Kill 'Em All Let God Sort 'Em Out

Not really I just wanted to say that in one of these"what if" threads.

Let's see , no one was hurt, your freind wasn't charged & we'll never know the kids intent, all's well that ends well.

PS my guard unit had a couple of cops in it, since Colorado ( apparently) requires that they carry off duty as well as on they carried at drill. Really isn't hard to conceal in BDUs

I would go to my car call 911, draw my gun, find hard cover facing the stop and rob exit.
This is very different from Harmonic's last sencario where you walked into a robbery in progress with one BG and one clerk.
In this senario we don't know if there are other customers in the store. In Florida I believe there must be two clerks on duty after sunset.
So by going back into the store to confront three armed men, you are taking the chance of getting into a gunfight where at least two or more bystanders could get shot or killed.

I'm impressed with the actions of your friend. Evidently, the Police were as well. I have yet to see in a carry state where it imperative that one must wait until a shot has been fired for the CCP holder to take legally permissable action to thwart the crime. I may be wrong, but clearly, I shouldn't be.

Gee. Works for threads too, unfortunately.

Tighten up, folks. Threads are getting off course way too often here, and nobody's been rapping knuckles enough lately. Mea culpa in that regard, but please don't push it.
