So, how much stuff do you carry attached to your belt? I currently leave my weapon home alot becaues I'm a graduate student and I can't afford to get kicked out of school.

1. 1911 style handgun
2. leatherman wave
3. Surefire 6p
4. 3.5" pocket knife
5. 2 oz can of pepper spray (soon to be added)

I'm not currently carrying any reloads but that's certainly on my mind.

On a side note, does anyone know of a small pouch system for carrying the surefire, leatherman and pepper spray? http://www.ripoffs.com/ has alot of different pouches including ones designed for a flashlight/multi-tool combo but nothing with 3 pouches.

Nothing. IWB holster, keyring in pocket has a built-in high-intensity LED. One of the "keys" is a SwissTech utilikey.

I don't wanna look like a wannabe cop or the IT repair guy with a batman-belt dragging down pants.
It's been my experience that the people who go jangling around the office with a half-dozen pouches on their belt get asked by passers-by if they can fix their computer / unclog the toilet / etc. :D

Plus slender. Even a single cellphone thing sticks out a lot.

All there is attached to my belt is 2 things:

1) Pants
2) HBE Leatherworks DC Special IWB holster holding a Kahr MK9 Elite 98

I can't understand how anyone can be comfortable with so much stuff hanging off their belts like they're Batman or something. :p

I used to do the utility belt thing. I work at an office now, my bat-belt has different stuff on it most of the time.

My current heaviest loadout (I can't believe I just said 'loadout') includes:

- Gerber Legend 2
- Nifty Luxeon based Dorcy flashlight I got at Lowes
- PDA
- Cold Steel Spike

And, uh, that's it. When I was working the hardware store I kept my phone on my belt, too (I had a different phone - Now I have an A900 that goes in my shirt pocket). I also carried a pair of handcuffs for a while, for complicated reasons.

But most of my other junk goes in my pants pockets. The Benchmade goes there, as does my lighter and usually some other odds and ends depending on what I'm working on at the moment. My .25 used to ride front right, when I had it.

That's it. No grenades, no grappling hook, no batarang.

Nothing.

Granted at the moment I am in a IT lab on a college campus with state stats and a sign saying "No CCW".

Then again when I am not on campus, my belt has nothing , I am CCW-ing, gotta spare mag too.

Ask Preacherman, Larry, Chris, Larry, Smoke_Rizen....et al;)

I'll blame this on spring fever!

Nothing. I'm not wearing a belt. Or even pants.

:neener:

It happens to be snowing outside, and I've a good fire in the woodstove.

So I'm in my favorite, long, sheer, embroidered cotton gauze nightgown, thigh-high knit wool socks, and my shoulder holster.

A fresh pot of coffee's brewing, too.

;)

Spring is here!

p.s. And I don't do men. Not ever.

Leatherman.

Sidearm. Technically not on my belt, because it's a paddle holster. Close 'nuff.

If I'm hunting or hiking, I might add the spare magazine, and perhaps a flashlight

Knife is clipped to a pocket, not on my belt.

Any more stuff than that and there'd be no room for my waist.

Let's see.....

First off, I carry a P7 in an IWB or shoulder rig, depending on what I need to do.
I also carry a spyderco usually, but its usually clipped to a pocket. only other thing on my belt...belly.....

Secondly, Trish..... a Nightgown and a shoulder rig? Marry me! Hot mama!

Thirdly, there is no thirdly.

:what:

:scrutiny:

{{{Sigh}}}

Poor Dravur. . .

To quote an old movie, I "bat for the other team. . ."

- BACK ON THREAD TOPIC -

Okay, if I am dressed for the outdoors, then I'm wearing a knife on my belt.

:D

Belt holds my pants up.

P11 + spare mag in a smartcarry
P3AT in a pocket holster strong side
Spare mag for P3AT in watch pocket
Kershaw Leek, Cyclops light, Phone in weak side pocket
Keys on carabiner attached to belt loop
Add a wallet, and some change...

So yeah, I need my belt to hold my pants up :)

Uh...let's see:

Sig 229 in .40 in a Safariland Hi-Ride
Asp Baton 26 inch in break away holster
Surefire G3 and tactical holder
2 spare Sig mags in Safarliand pleather holder
Latex Glove holder
Belt keepers
Handcuff case with Peerless handcuffs
Radio, Motorola of some kind
1 Mace holder with pepper foam 10%
in the pocket Sog Pentagon Elite

In the "war bag" a backup Inova X03 and Inova X5
and lastly a Swiss Army "leatherman" tool

No spare mag on your belt Mr_Dove? Me either :) I keep that in my cover pocket, helps keep the wind from flashing my Springfield Ultra Compact 45. That's all I carry on my belt these days. I used to have a short little chain for my wallet attached there but our big brave cops at the courthouse here confiscated that back in December when I reported for jury duty. Im sure they were glad to get home safe that day, close one for them!

I carry three different handguns (depending on dress, season, environment, location on my body). Most of the time it's a Sig 229 in .40. If I need something a little smaller it's a Kahr P40 .40. If I need something real small it's a S&W M-60 .38. I also carry spare rounds, folding knife, and a small can of pepper spray. :D

A Galco Jak-Slide holster (when I'm home from OTR driving it holds a Smith & Wesson handgun in some form)

A SOG Paratool

A Ken Onion Blackout Kershaw knife

A spare mag pouch and mag for corresponding Smitty, if i have a semi-auto

a leather pouch for my Bianchi Speed Strip if i have a revolver

and sometimes a Gerber Gator knife

in my knife pouch is also a Proto 4" crescent wrench.

Edited to add - And Tricia... no matter WHO you bat for, a cotton gause nightgown and a shoulder rig is a nice mental pic!

just a fixed blade s&w boot knife that clips inside my waisband since im not old enough to carry but i would prefer a 1911a1 to go there with it.

The only thing on my belt now...

is my belly from eating too big a lunch. I am at work..........chris3

Nothing. All my utility-type stuff has a place in my Carhartt pockets. To quote Homer Simpson, "It's not a belt. It's a tactical pants retaining system." :D
