First up:

An AAC SDN6 suppressor, then an S&H Ruger MKIII integrally suppressed, and a Satern custom barreled .300BLK upper, deep fluted, 14.5", KAC FF rail. The barrel is already on the order board, I'll get the suppressor started next month, and get the MKIII started before end of year I hope. I already have three of four rifles with mounts for this suppressor, so it should be useful. That pistol is the quietest firearm I've ever used, this was in the 90's, and I've wanted one ever since. Now my wife does too, so we're getting it.

I'd like to squeeze an M203 and/or a 20mm rifle in somwhere to add to the trust as well...

Next up is a long range bolt action, perhaps a .338Lapua or a .416 Barrett (that is what I want, with the ballistics computer) with a thread on suppressor. That .416 is expensive, but it is baaaad! Will work nice out in the desert where the range is long and safe enough.

Also would like an integrally suppressed Remington 700, an integrally suppressed .44mag semi or bolt rifle, and an Armalite rifle in .338 and other uppers in .308 and one of the suppressed wildcat chamberings for the Armalite.

For a pistol, I'd really like an Ed Brown Custom or an Executive Carry (or both!). I also would pick up the right Smith 10mm auto anytime.

Of course this will take me years to accumulate, and maybe some of it not at all, but that is what I like and I tend to wait it out and get what I want instead of compromising for what I don't. I've done that and ended up not satisfied and still wanting the other, so what can you do? At least I'm very satisfied with the collection I currently have.

Pretty boring, but...

Marlin 336 30-30, stainless

Daniel Defense AR-15 (variant TBD)

Ruger 1911 (when the ambi-safety model is released)

Ruger GP100 in 4" .357 (have a .327)

And to continue the theme above, Springfield Armory M1A1

Romanian PSL-54c

Remington 870 and/or 1100 or similar 12 gauge shotgun

Browning Buckmark UDX

Another .22lr rifle or two. A box magazine fed semi-auto and a bolt action.

Over/under shotgun.

Two cans. One for centerfire rifles .30 cal and smaller, and one of .22LRs. :D

Geno

Smith 696
Smith 624
Witness PS40
SVT-40

Stuff I Want ^H^H^H^H Need

Dear Forum,

Greetings from Wessex!

I find it interesting that two of you have cited the Ithaca M37. Here in the UK, these are *not* common. When my father died, I inherited "a few" shotguns from him and one was an Ithaca M37 DSPS with a 24" (min UK legal) barrel.

A few months after his death, I took up shotgunning and the good folks at AirgunBBS.com pointed me to a local clay shootin' ground and PSG club. The M37 raises a *few* eyebrows at the DTL stand, but most people are insterested in seeing something different.

Anyhoo, I really enjoyed PSG and when I got my FAC (Firearms Certificate), I bought *another* M37 - this time, an unresricted one... (Shotties held on an SGC (Shotgun Certificate) have to be limited to 3-shot.)

I also notice the mention of a Wingmaster. Well, Dad left me the use of one of *those* as well. This is now my prefered clay gun.

So, what new guns do I want ^H^H^H^H need?

Some time ago - *months*... - I ordered a Chiappa 1887 and it looks as if it might arrive any week now. In addition, I've discovered the existance of the legendary Mossberg Bullpup and have actually found one for sale in the UK. The bad news is that my FAC has run out of "slots" so I can't buy any more Section.1 shotties. (Damn...)

Regards,

Mark.

P.S. I gave Dad's 36"-barreled Marlin M55 goose-gun to a friend of his as a momento - it's not something that *I'm* likely to need.

I like these threads! I have a "big list" that has at least 20 years of gun collecting on it, but I also have a "short list" which is everything I want add to my safe to feel like my collection is well-rounded. If I weren't able to collect beyond the short-list, I'd be OK with it because for me, the bases would be covered:

Ruger
SR556
10/22
22/45
SP101 .22
SP101 .357 Magnum 3”
Redhawk .45 Long Colt 4”

Glock
G36
G22 trade-in
G27

Misc
Springfield Range Officer 1911
Springfield XDm 5.25 .45
HK45c
Sig P220 (German)
Mossberg 590
.308 bolt-action
S&W 442
S&W 4006
Beretta 92FS INOX

I also have a basic reloading setup and all of the spare parts and shooting supplies I need on the list, and scratch them off as I get through them.

whoo. The passing of my grandfather has led to a nice little sum coming to me and my dad as inheritance. Since he was an avid shooter himself, I'm in need of modifying my shortlist.

Colt Commander 1911 - in memory of him
Springfield M1A Standard - Always wanted one, and I feel it'll be a more than capable hog rifle.
20-Gauge Coach gun - Dunno who makes it, but they have one up at my LGS with exposed hammers, and boy is that one sweet little leadspreader.
Walther P38/P1 - Get this old toy out of layaway and enjoy the heck out of it.
