i want a semi auto 9mm that will shoot reliability even if its filthy. i have a ruger and s&w in 9mm and they are good i must keep them clean.

how are glocks and cz 75 in accuracy and reliability/dirtiness?

I'd rank the Glock 17 up towards the top of that list based on years of service and the torture tests that have been done.

Check out the CZ-52. The 7.62 Tokarev cartridge stands on its own merits, but with a quick barrel swap it'll feed 9x19mm just fine.

well as you can see form my signature that i have done my own torture test to my XD which was filled with sand and it never missed a beat! so i would say XD for sure. one great thing about the xd's over the glocks in terms of shooting while they are filthy, the xd's have fully supported chambers, which might save you if the gun is to dirty and to much chamber pressure is built. is that needed for the uses you will need it for? i don't know that is up to you, but it is a great advantage. plus it is alot harder to break metal like that on the xd's compared to the plastic pieces on the glock!:)

and that isn't what you are looking for i say a glock 17/ or 19 like was said above!

I have a Makarov that chokes on everything by true round nosed FMJ.

I would have to vote for the XD9. I rearly clean it and it had never failed to function.

Interesting, as mine doesn't seem to choke on anything. ;)

The AK-47?

Really, I'd have to say the Makarov. Not many moving parts, inspires me to drink vodka, and is dead reliable.

I think that most modern semis designed for military application will fit your needs. If the pistol was designed for military application, it has been put through torture tests that you would not do to a personal firearm.

These include but are not limited to:
SigSauer
Beretta
Glock
HK (USPs not P7s, which are police pistols)

I have an East German one. It inspires me to Rumpelmintz and listen to Rammstein. It too is dead reliable.:)

The Hi-Point!

Kidding, folks. Just felt like raising y'all's blood pressure.

Probably something in blowback... one of the little Browning or Colt or older Beretta .25s, maybe?
