Ok, not really. I actually got a Browning No. 1
Manufactured from 1900 to 1911.

1889 Parker 12ga. Double Barrel shotgun. My grandfather acquired it sometime in the 30's. I inherited it back in 1980. Haven't shot it a whole lot. Last time was a couple of years ago. Sits in the back of the safe.

1853 Enfield bring back from Afghanistan [thanks little bro!] 1876 Whitney rolling block,1884 Trapdoor,1888 Safety Hammerless .38 S&W. Mauser pistol,1917 S&W,1913 Colt .45 [gave to my son for his 21st,so I guess I should quit claiming that one] WWII Canadian Hi Power, various and assorted old 'dug ups' hanging on the walls as decoration...

''I have : Martini short lever 577-450 in 1882,trapdoor 1884mod dated 1890,and Elsie 1886 hammerless L.C Smith from around 1895.I shoot all three of them using Black Powder only...''
LOL!Jefferson, you never told me you have a Trapdoor!I have an original I got from Don Martin before he died, and a H&R Cavalry Carbine that also came by way of Don and Rosemary...

BHP I know I'll spell it wrong but Robert Chedwiggin[Recently Deceased]Had a long lever martini, and a bunch of neat stuff!!!
I was also sorry to hear about Don,He also had a nice collection of "stuff". I always wanted to make
Carl C. a box of brass for His revolver that used only a shotgun primer, for those out of this loop,Carl Hated to Waste Powder, but was an excellent marksman for His eyesite.

These are my "Pre '98" collection:

P1853 .577 Enfield rifle-musket, made in Nepal under British supervision

S&W Model 2 "Army" .32 RF made in 1864

Colt #3 (Thuer) derringer, .41 RF

Hopkins & Allen XL Double-Action .32 CF(made in the 1890's)

Belgian side-lever SxS 12-gauge (blackpowder proofed), barrels cut down to 20". This was a "basket case" that was in my granduncle's house when he died, and which I have slowly been rehabilitating. Also the only antique I have that I didn't buy.

Civil War

My father came from Italy in 1922 as a young boy and settled in NYC. One day playing in the street they came upon a trash barrel full of long guns. So him and his friends picked up two each and ran home. He keep the guns and when he died in 1991 I got the two guns. One is a 1861 Austrian Calvary rifle percussion. It is a short rifle with a large ring to attach it to the rider's belt clip. The other is a 1872 French Calvary rifle bolt action with a detachable bayonet. It is a very long gun over 6 feet with the bayonet on. I intend to pass these on to my son someday. Neither one could be shot so I keep them on display and they are quite the conversation piece. One of my friends thinks they were used in the Civil War which would increase the value and someday I'll look in that.

Thanks Pop

Oldest : Colt 1911 - ser# C-8854X manuf. 1915?
2nd oldest : Winchester mod. # 61 hammerless "Gallery"

I had a Bayard SxS 12g. w/ exposed hammers Ser# 26321 , but I could never find any info on it so I sold it. :banghead:

I call it my "Dowry Gun". It was my wife's grandfather's original Model 11 birdgun...given to me by a great Father-in-Law when we got married. By the serial #, I figured out that the date of manufacture was in 1947.

.32 S&W long, that was made in 1903.I bought it a couple of months ago.It has been refinished, no collector value, but beautifully restorted.

Remington Semi-Auto Shotgun Model 11 12 ga - 1916

Remington Semi-Auto Shotgun Pre-Model 11 12 ga - IIRC 1908

Colt SAA that my great grandfather bought new in 1880 when he and ggm were going from St. Joseph MO to Deming NM where they homesteaded. Shortly after arriving there and opening a store, ggf bought a Parker Bros 12 ga. SxS that I still have. Damascus barrels, been proofed, but I am still afraid to shoot them. I'd hate to lose a hand and ruin their looks.

I have a 1915 DWM Luger that my grandfather brought home from WWI. It's been in the family now for over 90 years. Someday it'll go to my son.

1913 DWM P08 Luger. This gun is 96 years old. It is one of my most accurate pistols. The leather holster is in great shape. There are two magazines. All serial numbers match!
