Ask and you shall receive...my oldest gun is my British martini-Henry MKII dated 1874. one of these days ill get around to finding the 577-450 ammo for it.
And if you try to bring home anything from our current wars, the government gets all bent out of shape...W.C. Smith 1868 double 12 gauge. Winchester 1873 made in 1875. Singer 1911 made about 1920 I'm told but don't know for sure. Was carried by a friend USMC in 1939. And a few 1903 Springfield rifles my grandfather brought home from WW one.
I'm a firm believer in the concept that firearms should be passed down to your kids and not just sold if at all possible.I have a Winchester 1894 30WCF Saddle Ring Carbine made in 1908 that I purchased about 6 years ago and now trying to sell, and I have a single barrel 12 guage shotgun that's been in the family since my great grandfather. On the side of the receiver is "WHITE POWDER WONDER". On top of the barrel is marked "high pressure barrel" and the only thing I can find for a serial number is stamped underneath the barrel chamber that's hidden when closed up. I'll probably pass it down to my son to keep in the family.
