What's the price of this 1911?

Colt 1911 9mm, Government 5" blued.
Excellent condition....98% blueing still on.
Seller claims he's had it for 15 years.
Not sure of round count, but said doesn't shoot it anymore.
Two sets of grips (factory and rubber)
Two mags.

He said he wants $750....but is negotiable.
I could probably buy it for $700.

Should I keep looking? One thing is, I HAVE to have a 1911 in 9mm. I PREFER a Colt. But Colt doesn't make them right now.

A quick scroll through the about 12 pages of the Colt 1911 section of GunsAmerica shows only a very few Colt 1911's at $700 or less in any caliber. And I could only find one 9mm, a nickel combat commander for $845.

If this is your dream gun, time to buy it.

I have regretted passing up guns or selling guns more than I've ever regretted buying one.

I just completed a deal on one, but have yet to receive it.

It's a Colt MKIV Series 80 9MM 1911, and comes with 2 mags. It was listed at $700, and I ended up getting it for $600 (+ $25 shipping).

While I can't really compare your model against mine, I think mine might be a bit more worn (from looking at the pictures, I don't think it would meet 98%) than yours.

Offer $650 first, and see what happens. If a good example, I think $700 might be a decent value.
