calibers

.22lr
.40 S&W
.357 mag
.308 WIN
7.62x39mm
45-70
12 gauge

I think I am good with this collection. Should be able to hunt anything I could think of on the continent this this set up.

5.56x45mm
.35 Remington
12 gauge

I figure between the 35 and 12 gauge I can kill pretty much anything around, and then have a hell of a lot of fun with my AR.

Glad you guys are equipped. I don't have anything in .223, nor any rifle magnums. I don't have any elephant or buffalo guns. Nothing that will stop a Stryker or a helicopter. I scarely have enough ammo for 11 minutes of supressive fire - That's practically disarmed.... but somehow my wife always seems to think I have too many guns.

.17 hmr
.22 lr
.30-.30
.50 bp
20 g

I need more guns....actually thinking ahead to the guns that I "need" to complete my collection, I'm not going to add many different calibers (.223, 12g, and some smaller pistol round).

Eighteen calibers or gauges, ranging from .22 short to .577/450. The graph spikes pretty heavily at the .30 caliber point, with plenty of 7.62x39, x54, x51, and 30.06

.22lr
.223 rem

Although not having a .308 is starting to seem like a real shame. And a nice 7.62x39 would be cool and ... oh no ....:D

Right now I don't have much.

22lr- because everyone should have one. My kids learn on them and they are best for squirrels.

.223Rem-In my state this is the most practical centerfire rifle round to have. Ammo is available, good for varmints and nice to start kids out for a "big" gun. My daughter owns one too.

.257Roberts- It was the first centerfire rifle I ever fired. It finally came up for sale and I paid WAY too much to get it. I have dropped 'yotes with it, but it isn't legal for deer here. I like the Mauser action too so it will stay long after I have shot out the barrel.

.410- I would like to say it is just for my daughters, but it is fun even for me to blast some rodents with. Primarily my oldest daughter's deer gun when her bow fails her.

20ga- My deer gun a rifled barrel, bipod, scope, and 200yds of range give this thing rifle like abilities. Farthest kill so far ranged at 162yds. Of course, my younger daughter uses one of these too.

I want to add to this list, but marriage and kids cuts into the budget and justifying more guns isn't easy. I plan to add a couple more though- for the kids, of course.

22LR
22Mag
223
243
30-06

I feel like I've got all the bases covered with this spread.

I know this is an old thread, but I wanted to add my list:

.22 LR
.223/5.56 Nato
.270 Win
30-30 Win
.35 Rem

9mm
38 Spl/357 Mag.
.44 Mag
.45 ACP
.45 Colt

12 gauge
20 gauge

.177 air rifle

I'd like to add 45-70 and and something a little bit more powerful than the 270 like the classic 7mm Rem Mag.
