I'd say my 3" Sp101 with hogue nylon grips, then 2"smith mod 60. For entertainment value the Ruger old army .45 and least favorite is the 681 smith with original stocks and .357's.....ouch
My favorite fixed sight Revolver is the S&W 681 .357 Magnum. I wish I still had it, But a friend talked me out of it when he joined the Border Patrol back in 1989.
I'm partial to my 1958 S&W Mod.14 4" bbl. But I don't shoot it much. Not like I do the Cheifs Spec. mod. 36. I carry the 36 as a bug so I put in a lot of range time with it. There are circumstances where it's all I'm carrying.
There are several I like but the favorite has to be the oldest, a 1914 vintage, re-blued 5" S&W 1st Model 44 Hand Ejector, otherwise known as the Triple Lock.
It is in one of my favorite calibers the 44 Special, it has a 5" barrel which to my thinking is the ideal length for the N-frame and being the first N-frame it is the grandfather of all the other N-frames I have and would like to have. (smile)
