Whats your Lube????

...the Hornady spray went out with the trash!

Yes, except for 30 carbine, I find Hornady One Shot virtually useless. Also, not very efficient.

I am still on my first tin of Imperial Sizing Wax after about 10 years. I am on my third bottle of RCS Case Lubricant in 30 years. In a year, I went through three or four cans of One Shot.

My volume of loading has remained pretty constant for at least the last 10 years or so.

But some folks do report success using One Shot.

I use Dillon Spray Lube (or the Cabela's knockoff) for resizing .223's and .30 Carbine.

For .30-06, I use either Kiwi Mink Oil or castor oil -- haven't tried the Dillon spray yet; not sure I trust it on large cases but it's probably OK.
I used the Dillon Spray on 223 and 270win, works great. Just need to let it set for a bit, it needs to fully set a while after spraying before using it, else it really does not work.

I use "weld-aid" brand wire lube for wire feed welders.

Never a dent or a stuck case even forming wildcats. I just slick up an rcbs lube pad every so often with a few drops

Another poster (whom I haven't seen active here in quite a while) made up some lanolin based lube.
He (or she) was kind enough to offer it free of charge.
That stuff works VERY well.

I only reload for one rifle (AR-15) so the stuff is lasting forever.

I have used high speed bearing grease. The same stuff you buy to put in your grease gun to lube your machinery. It works very well. Just a little on your fingers and rub the casing.

At this year's ShotShow (A major trade show for arms, ammo and accessories.) I talked to different makers of reloading tools about their stuck case extractor kits. Every one I talked to said that their sales of stuck case kits have continued to increase as more reloaders have started using Imperial sizing wax. Makes one wonder if there is a connection, doesn't it?

Odd, if anything I would have guessed that sentence would of ended with Hornady One-Shot.

I would be more inclined to believe it has more to do with the increase of begining reloaders and nothing more.

A manufacturer representative is always going to talk bad about the competition's product. That's what they're paid to do. I would be cautious about believing what they say about the competition.

Still using the same lube I started with back in 1984. Lee Lube in the toothpaste tube.
