You’re too kind, sir. I almost bought a second one during that sale. That’s a great price for 20CV.
I finished sharpening mine and was pleased with the results. I can say that removing material from 20CV was easier than S30V, however, getting rid of the burr took significantly longer. For a long period of time each pass would just flop it over to the other side, though you could tell it was becoming smaller over time as well. When I finished up stropping, certain parts of the blade would just lop hair in half instead of whittling it. I don’t know which is better, but this knife is very sharp and has a nice, even bevel.
Sharpening a true wharncliffe is much easier than a blade with a belly/curve to it. For some reason the lighting in this picture makes the bevel appear uneven but it isn’t. I was pleased with the evenness.
