I usually go with whatever I can purchase at the SASS shots for the .45 colt, at $48/1000 you can’t go wrong. I purchase .452-200 gr RNFP’s to fire in the Schofield cases and .45 ACP. I purchase .452-250 gr. RNFP to use in the .45 colt.
Right now, I've really taken a liking to the Ranier 165 grain and 180 grain bullets, in 40 S&W. I can load them both to be nice, accurate, soft recoiling, target loads. 6 grains of Unique for the 165's, 5.3 grains for the 180's. Both of these loads give me well over 1000 rounds/pound of powder.
