Whats your thoughts on Sigs New MPX Copperhead?

It would be interesting in 10mm. But: Given SIG’s decline in quality over the last decade, I’ll consider it to be Taurus and Kimber-level quality until proven otherwise. That’s a non-starter for me personally. I hope that someday they’ll go back to being a gun company first rather than a marketing company that happens to peddle guns.

5 1/2” barrel? Just stick with a handgun

You get an extra 100 fps from just 2” extra barrel length with the 7 1//2”!without a noticeable length change

I have a 9mm AR with 7 1/2” barrel that costs under $600. Takes Glock magazines which interchange with my Glock 19.

I can get both for around $1000 new and have extra for 4K rounds of ammo

I saw it at Scheels yesterday. I can't think of why I'd want one, especially for 1.4k... As for fun guns, my taste is more old school than that. As for defense guns, I don't know. It's hard to take the MPX seriously.

With a barrel that short I'd rather just have a regular ass pistol.

My thought, too. They could've gone with a 4'' barrel and it would've been just as compact. For what they are, I could get a Glock 43 and get the same results (terminally speaking) without the expense or the unwelcome bulk.

I plan to get a CZ Scorpion Evo3 with a 7.5" barrel and an arm brace.

Like 2/3 the price, better velocities, and a gun with a good rep.

Ridiculous for my needs and all the shooters I know, Not just that particular weapon, but all of them in the same class. How would I feel about the gun, if in a war zone. Maybe a good weapon. In that regards, I do not know how people can condemn it with any knowledge about it, never shot it or compared it to others. If you want to judge the gun, get out and shoot it. Compare it to others. As far as looks go, if it was a top performer and could save my life, I would not give a rats *** what internet posters thought about the looks.

No practical use or value. Seriously, you'd be better served with a Glock in a RONI with the pistol brace, in fact you'd probably have more barrel length and rifling and by George, it would be MUCH cheaper too.

I mean, God Bless Sig for the pistol brace, but much of the other stuff they've come out with, like the P(roblamatic)365, the Epic Fail P250, the Mosquito... they're guns that make people bang their head against the wall. Sig has quickly become my least favorite gun company mainly because they treat their employees like dung and have terrible management on the manufacturing side. People say, "Oh, Sig is doing so well, they're always hiring!" There's a reason why and a reason quality has gone down so much over the years.

Sig guns... IMO, you can do as good for less. Unless a DA/SA is an absolute must for you, there's many other options besides Sig. The fact that they hold the MHS contract now is the greatest bit of free advertisement they could ever have because now the video gamers in Call of Duty are gonna see the M17, gonna see this Copperhead with Sig's name on it, and automatically think it's the greatest thing since the Tommy Gun.

With that MHS contract, Sig doesn't even need to try anymore. They're set for the next 30 years.

I don't see the point of it compared to the 4.5" MPX. It's only fractionally smaller, which matters in concealed-carry pistols but not really in PDWs.

My thoughts are that the old MPX and the CZ Scorpion are more suited to my needs.

That one is too small and too expensive.
