When don't you carry?

I don't carry where it's illegal to carry.

I don't carry when I'm in bed or in the shower - I keep the weapon nearby, though.

Salthouse, I am in eastern PA, and just about in southeastern PA. I carry all the time except bed (it's next to me), in the shower, and those places where PA or the Feds say we can't. I am sitting here typing with a S&W .357 mag sitting right next to me. It was in my belt all day long. Of course, I work for myself, so I get to make the rules about who can carry at work.

I am sure there are places where people would be unhappy if they knew I was carrying, but in those cases, I just neglect to make an issue of it - sort of like not announcing what color underpants I have on at that particular moment.

Whenever I am out of the house, I am always carrying unless I am on company property or somewhere prohibited by law.

I don't carry in establishments where it is prohibited by law and I don't usually carry while at my home. Other than that, I have either my G17 or P228 on or near me at all times.

When do i not carry

I have stopped carrying a shower weapon. For years I carried a North American 22 in an over size thong. I could still soap everywhere as the thong was XXl. The weapon, a stainless never rusted but did seem to have a film on the grip. After i took a hogue 38 grip and cut it down to fit the North American ,the problem was cured. I had only two shots but kept a box of 22 longs in with the after shave.

I do not carry in places that have been deemed illegal to carry. I rarely carry when I go to my in-laws or family functions but I keep my firearm holstered and in the truck.

When I'm asleep or in the shower, and it's still in easy reach. I take it off when I'm wade fishing and leave it in the boat.
