I usually like to bring 3 different calibers (9mm, 10mm, and 45). Sometimes like to bring something interesting. Usually:
Valtro .45
P7M8
Delta Elite

What do you like to bring?

I don't really go shooting for handguns anymore since I can shoot on my own property now. But I used to take my Dan Wesson 22 revolver and one centerfire pistol. Either a 1911, a Taurus PT99 or CZ design. I'd usually put 50 rounds through the revolver then 100-200 through the centerfire doing different bill drills and shooting at 50 yards. Then put another 100-300 through the 22.

I'm cheap so I always take a .22 pistol (usually my Ruger) so anyone with me who wants to shoot alot can do so. Along these same lines I'll also take a 9mm (usually the 92FS).

If I'm shooting with friends who don't own their own handguns, I also always take one of my 1911's in the hopes that a new fanatic will be created!

I very rarely take a rifle with me to the range any more.

Most of my friends don't own a 1911 model so I certainly take one of my Colt Special Combat Government Competitions. First time a friend of mine shot one she had a big smile on her face and said "I like this one". She now OWNS one and I swear when she dies she wants to be buried with it....can't pry it from her hands!!!! YAHOO, another Colt fanatic (she purchased a Mustang Lady Elite and a Pony stainless pocketlite also)!!!

I also like to take my SW5 PDW in 9mm. Can shoot the PDW at the handgun range and my friends love it since I have a bunch of 30 round mags and always have them loaded prior to going to the range (spoiled friends aren't they)!!!!!! Although I like the straight HK MP5 30 round mags my friends like the 30 round curved mags because it "looks" cooler (they watch too much TV obviously).

Last but not least I take my P210-6, a P220 9mm, P220 .38 super, and a Colt Mustang.

I don't get my friends to go shooting with me very often so I want to make sure they have a lot of fun which is why I take so many assorted guns and LOTS of ammo (I buy by the case).

In fact I'm taking a friend Saturday and she'll be shooting my P210 for the first time. This is the friend who, after shooting my Colt SCGC had to go buy one. Sure hope she doesn't get a real desire for the P210 because she's really not ready for THAT price quote!!!! Hey...my friends use MY ammo all the time, if I'm going to get them addicted it might as well cost them a pretty penny :what:

If I go shooting with friends ,I usually like to bring a Mark-2,45 Auto and a 44 Mag. And a new Aquisition if I have one.

G20C and 6"bbl
A service auto. (9mm, 40, or .45)
And either my .454SRH or my .44 Anaconda
And either my Ruger .22 single-six or Ruger MKIII .22
This gives whomever I am shooting with a flavor for it all.

One of my beloved 1911's, and then what ever I might have that they haven't had a chance to shoot.

Sometimes my 3", 44 mag Taurus with hot 300 gr loads so that they can find out what recoil really is. :evil:

MY GUNBOX ALWAYS HAS A 22 REVOLVER

a 357MAG, a 44SPL, a 45ACP revolver, and a 45COLT revolver.
Also in cluded are an ASTRA CUB 22SHORT, my favorite plinking pistol, the P22 22LR pistol for my wife, and whatever new gun I have to play with or test.
The new one for this week is a COSBY CUSTOM GUN 45S+W sixgun built on an old 3-screw RUGER 357 frame.
The 22 revolver can be a K22 or an old model RUGER SINGLE SIX or a NM BEARCAT my wife loves to shoot;
The 357 is an old model Blackhawk;
The 44SPL is a S+W M624 or the TLA Skeeter Skelton commemorative, or a COLT NEW FRONTIER;
The 45ACP revolver is a COLT SAA;
The 45COLT is a NM RUGER BISLEY 5 1/2", or a COLT 7 1/2", or the CIMMARON 4 3/4".
We put 6-800 rounds downrange every week with these pistols plus the rifles I like to take along [ but you didn't ask about those...]

I bring some target type reloads. Especially in 45acp. It lets people know that they can shoot 45 without recoil and very little noise. They like the light loads and then ask about costs, I tell them and most are looking for reloading gear. Practice ammo does not need to be barnburners, in my opinion it hurts to have stiff practice ammo.

I have a 22lr Buckmark that goes every time too. Everyone that has shot it wants one, and a couple have bought them.

For each trip to the range, I always bring just one gun and 200 rounds of ammo. My favorite caliber is 9mm.

my CCW gun and a couple rifles. Some of my shooting buddies usually have 5 or more, some even bring a dozen. LOL

We usually have a 'theme' to each range trip:

Big Bore Revolver Day
Big Bore Semi-Auto Day
Big Bore Rifle Day
Politically Incorrect Assault Rifle Day
.22 day
IDPA day
Shotgun Day
Cowboy Day
Bring Everything Under the Sun Day

kinda like that...

I only have four handguns, so they all go. The .22s are too much fun to leave behind. I'm a revolver fan so both of them go. I always feel the need to shoot my carry gun, for obvious reasons,
so the .45 goes. If the time allows I will take a rifle or two...and OK the shotguns too. Well...if you're going to start cleaning just get 'em ALL! :D
Mark.

when its the outside range I try to bring the whole arsenal ( a quote by a Kendall county mounty ) if it's the inside range I ussually bring the coonan , and my .45's and maybe a wheelgun or two , and lots of ammo and all those free targets ahem.... discs that AOL keeps sending me .

Last time I got together with my friends for an informal scheutzenfest I brought:

-Smith & Wesson Model 15
-Smith & Wesson Model 18
-Ruger 10/22
-Finn m/39 Mosin-Nagant

(Yeah, I know the last two aren't handguns.)

We're doing it again in a couple of weeks and I think this time I'll bring:

-Browning High Power Practical
-Smith & Wesson Model 28
-Mini-14
-M-1 Carbine

:D

Here lately, it's been about every 2 weeks and it's usually 2 of my CCWs. Last 3 visits have been with my Kimber Ultra CDP and My Glock 26. My friend has only one gun, (Taurus PT-111) but he wants a G26, now. I need to start practicing with my PT-22 also.
