Where do I find gun reviews

It seems like its impossible to find reviews of firearms. I understand that there are a tons and tons of models by tons of makers but it seems like there would be a market in reviews of guns.

As would be expected all of the normal sources for product reviews, dont review guns for whatever political reasons.

Also if I were to post on here or any other forum I would get review such as "Glocks suck dont buy tupperware" or other reviews that dont tell me anything about the issues or advantages.

Am I missing some amazing source?

No there is no amazing source.

Gun Tests magazine is close...sometimes I think their comparisons are not very comparable but they do not take advertising dollars so at least they aren't praising guns for the ad revenue.

Just do a google search with the make and model of the fiream and the word review , its never failed me yet

Many of the official reviews of guns tend to be optimistic, so you need to do some reading between the lines and also post your specific questions on gun boards like this.

The opinions are worth about what you pay, but might give you some insight. Specifically check out some of the "stickies" on how to check out a specific type of gun type.

At buying time, a little handling of the gun, instinct and common sense are your guide. And remember there is always another gun out there.

I feel that places like THR are the best places (with some exceptions) to get honest real world information on firearms. Most gun rags print in favor of the gun maker with the deepest pockets because ads make money.

The only exception would be "Well my brother in laws next door neighbors cousin had a Remington 705XLT and he said it killed bears better than an SKS or a shotgun" Answers like this are never any help to anyone. These answers lead to confusion and argument something we don't need here. We need clear honest answers not speculation.

The other option is to do searches (google, yahoo, etc) you can look up a brand, or if your not sure just do a search fo "best 9mm handgun" or "Best rifle" and from there you will see some links to reviews and gun forum threads.
