What's your MAIN method of storing your guns? I keep most in the safe, but I keep a handgun close by.

Ok, so when is the tin-foil-hat-wearing-guy going to jump in and proclaim that it's none of our business and that we are exposing ourselves to Agent Schmuckatelli or all criminals that surf the net?

I dont know but this to me was absoulty ROFLMAO funny ...

I lock mine in safe.

I don't mind letting the crackheads who may read this forum know that my guns are in a 1200lb safe guarded by a very mean owner, a meaner wife and two killer kitties! :)

None of your business, fool! Agent Smuckatelli and the anti-gun-owners-with-cute-kitties-and-pretty-puppies-task-force reads these boards and is gathering information for their database. When the time comes, they'll know which guns we've *really* sold and which ones we haven't, and they'll also know where we keep them and how many pets they'll have to step on to get them! Don't tell these heartless bastards anything! You should also coat your network carble (right up to the RJ-45 terminator) with tin foil. Aluminum foil doesn't work, but that's a thread all by itself.

Where's the option for "Anywhere I can find room. This @#$%@# C&R is killing me" :D

Oh, regular shooters are in the safe complete. The others have their bolts in the safe while they reside under the bed, under the kids beds, back of closets, in various stages of repair on the workbench, hanging on the walls, ....

You didn't mention consumer Gun Safes less than 500lbs, most bolt to the wall. Mine is right at 500 for the safe and another 100 for the guns. I like the keypad entry, very fast, about 2 seconds.

Gun cabinet for the occasional shooters. Carry gun is always out, somewhere. Upstairs home defense on a shelf, downstairs home defense in a drawer. Daughters are grown and gone so no concern about children.

Hidden in various places throughout my apt. I would like to get a safe, but being on the second floor there is no way to get one of those 500 pounders up there. I’ll be moving to another state in around two years, a house and a large safe are on my list.

ummmm....all but the last choice.

Big heavy safe has the most and the expensive or sentimental pieces. Lockable cabinet has some overflow and other misc items the kids don't need to get at.
There is a rack in the shop that holds items that I use often, have cleaned, need to clean, need to work on, etc.
Some are scattered, in soft cases around the house. And a few are close. Very close.

I do not yet have a safe. I have been looking at a really nice safe over at Sammys(Sams Club) It is a winchester and seem really solid. The only thing I don't like is that is has a combination lock. Is it possible to purchase an electronic lock for something like this??

Carry sidearms remain loaded in a GunVault in the bedroom when not carried. Everything else is in a proper safe in the basement.

I keep all mine buried out in the backyard. Yeah, it's a lot of work when I want to go to the range but..

Buying a massive safe will be one of the first things I do when I move to a 'permanent' residence. For now, the guns stay in padlocked aluminum cases, in drawers, or leaning against the wall in the closet.:uhoh: If any of you criminals reading this board want to use that information, just know I shoot first and ask questions later. :fire:

Just kidding... ;)

Pistol ammo and rifle mags stay on the top shelf in my armoire. Rifle ammo stays in ammo cans in the closet.
