Where to Hide Guns?

Oh, i am so sorry officer, i sold most of my guns through private party sales just before that law prohibiting anonymous private party sales was passed. Here, you can have this 50$ Junk pistol and these two magazines of ammo though.

While the rest of the guns are buried in a nearby corporate forest that has at least thirty years left until harvest, or possibly in the gunhating neighbours septic tank.

If the government targeted a certain individual and was serious about confiscating all the guns that person possessed. They would administer a truth drug. End of story.

I would have to say a water tight and air tight pvc plastic painted goldish brown and hidden deep in the hayloft of my barn.
Have fun unstacking all of the bales officer

What guns?

If I had any, I would consider having then next to the plot of tobacco I would grow along with the whiskey still making moonshine whiskey.

What we've got here is failure to communicate. Some men you just can't reach. So you get what we had here last week - which is the way he wants it. Well, he gets it. I don't like it any more than you men.

Well at least you guys have these kinds of options that are easy. here all my firearms are registered to my name and address, if the cops come and demand them and I don't have em, I'm going to jail.

realistically I would

-Just go all out and tell them that your not taking what i worked my ass off for. they don't find anything and I goto jail, serve my sentence of probably 2-4 years and come out with a record. I would be labeled a criminal for protecting my right to property and personal safety but at least I would still know where my firearms are and have access to them.

There are other ways that don't require jail in which I can keep my firearms, but I'm not posting anything like that on a public forum.

They would administer a truth drug

Only 2 problems with that

1) It's not legal to do or use the info gathered that way in the US.

2) There is no such drug to the best of my knowledge and the knowledge of a number of anesthesiologists (sp?:scrutiny:) that I'v asked over the years.

It's sorta like the "knock out gas" they use in movies everone goes under quickly and everone wakes up. In real life when used in Moscow over 100 people died.

Simplest way to find your guns: take your family members hostage. Easier yet, hold you till you give something up or...since the end object is to reduce resistance, shoot disarmed suspects out of hand. Read on how Bolsheviks operated.

Ah, I'm too fat and lazy to go around digging holes and the like. Sounds a lot like work, to me.

I guess if "They" come knockin' on my door, we'll just see what we'll see. Maybe they'll catch me in a good mood, and I'll say, "You know, they aren't worth dying for".

It's possible. I'm told I had a good mood once, when I was eight years old. Lasted a few minutes, even. Not sure I believe it, but that's what I'm told.

I turned all of mine in, officer. Have a donut.

Excuse me, sir, but this is the new age of policing... We prefer bagles and hummus to doughnuts. But thanks for the offer, nevertheless!

Why did you turn your guns in anyway? I "sold" all of mine right before the ban... at about the same time that I was working on that landscaping in the backyard (had to do something to cover up the hole where I replaced the septic system).

Anyway, I sure will miss my gun collection!

I also agree with those who have said that door-to-door confiscation will never happen. Not practical, cost effective, or ever used in the past for things like Booze in the 1920's, drugs now, etc. But, it is fun to have a hypothetical!

Its been said here before, if it's time to bury guns it's time to dig them up.

That's kind of catchy actually... Hadn't heard that one before.

Any idea how much it would cost to go door to door, and search houses, walls, floors, back yards, barns, garages, outbuilding, with metal detectors, X-ray machines, trucks, cops, JBT's, shovels, backhoes, chain saws, crowbars, etc? Any idea how many people they'd have to have? How many support people? Can you imagine trying to plan the opperation?

It would make the current war seem downright cheap and easy.

Gave them all to scrat. Even the hammer with the nail weilded to it (that was my fav shotgun, sigh) :neener:

If you think that "they" are coming after your guns, you're looking the wrong way. Most legislation slowly revokes your rights by preventing new purchases - these fantasies of a gun-round-up are much less likely.
