Where to Hide Guns?

there are many tracts of open land where n one will ever look; it would not be cost efective to search the square footage of the entire United States with a metal detector.\
Large collection in the desert somewhere, and keep one or two junk pistols or sks to hand in when they ask, so you look compliant

1. Figure out a low-end price total for your favorite guns.

2. Squirrel away that amount of cash.

3. Take out a newspaper add offering those guns for sale.

4. Tell every caller, "Sorry, that one's already been sold."

5. A week later, deposit the cash in your bank account.

6. Keep the newspaper clipping and the deposit slip.

7. Be sure to have some "giveaway" guns. Jennings, Raven, HiPoint come immediately to mind.

It is a right of a freeman and as said before they come for the guns they get the ammo first!

The first rule of hiding anything is hide it Somewhere OFF YOUR PROPERTY. A search warrent doesn't cover your neighbors back yard, the attic of your church or Aunt Bettys crawl space. I know of a former pot head who hid his dope in a mason jar under his neighbors tool shead.

I also agree with those who have said that door-to-door confiscation will never happen. Not practical, cost effective, or ever used in the past for things like Booze in the 1920's, drugs now, etc. But, it is fun to have a hypothetical!

But confiscations have occurred, in this country, in recent history -- and more than once.

If you think that "they" are coming after your guns, you're looking the wrong way. Most legislation slowly revokes your rights by preventing new purchases - these fantasies of a gun-round-up are much less likely.

True, but that's small comfort to the people who lost their guns after Katrina, and various former owners of SKS rifles in California.

Any idea how much it would cost to go door to door, and search houses, walls, floors, back yards, barns, garages, outbuilding, with metal detectors, X-ray machines, trucks, cops, JBT's, shovels, backhoes, chain saws, crowbars, etc? Any idea how many people they'd have to have? How many support people? Can you imagine trying to plan the opperation?

That's why they pass registration laws first... several states require registration of some sort.

"Its been said here before, if it's time to bury guns it's time to dig them up."
- MOLON LABE. but i do have to agree with hiding them in a tree. you must be a true outdoors men or have access to a boom lift but its a great idea. also the one about running ad's in the paper, but if there was a total ban you would have to have previous knowledge to the bans going into effect.

Hello officer...no, I dont have any guns. I "already gave" them to the last officer that was here yesterday.

Some of my guns are pre-Brady; some were acquired though private sales and no paper. Those I would hide. Where only God and I would know and I'm not to sure I'd tell Him.

SuperNaut

very nice project...was looking at it thinking how much it looked like my small telescope case and than clicked on 'guitar' site :)

you found a case that customizes really well, thank you

"Sir, I woke up one morning and looked at my bananas, and say them in a different light. I finally saw them as the ugly messengers of violence and death that they are. I was so repulsed by them I didn't want ANYONE to have them, so I took them apart, chopped them into itty bitty pieces and took a trip to the beach. I rented a boat and dropped the pieces into the bay. No I don't remember exact where in the bay, but heres the receipt for the boat rental." :neener:

And depending on the circumstances, if it's not a complete ban or if it was sudden...

"Oh, those bananas? I forgot about them, when I found them later, I never got around to getting rid of them. I'm a real bad procrastinator."

In some jurisdictions, it can be a crime to sell a banana without a paper trail, so that defense may get you into a little more trouble.

And the reason to hide bananas, even in times of plenty, is to not keep all your eggs in one basket.
If the purpose is to recover quickly from a katrina like confiscation, or a theft, then you don't want to travel too far. Don't wanna be caught coming home with your goodies

As you can see Agent Dick, both the government and media have castrated us men so I sold all my firearms to fund a new fake set. You wanna give em the ole test feel? :neener:

where to hide em ?

First of all, I think, if confiscation happens, it won't be Local cops who do it. Im sure there would be dissension in the ranks. Maybe foreigners..... which we will love and respect and greet accordingly.

Second - I agree with the idea of keeping, uh, something off premises..

If you think about it , 1 million hard core gun owners would make things very interesting ...

funny....I always though that "if its time to bury them"....its time to USE THEM!!

What the hell is the 2nd Amendment for?? deer hunting??

"The Second Amendment isn't about hunting deer, it's about hunting politicians."
Congressman "B1" Bob Dornan

They way it will happen, is that they will make millions of us criminals with the stroke of a pen. Such as an all-out ban with a "turn-in" period. That's how it's gone down in other countries.

I have no intention of turning anything in.

And if they make me a criminal, I expect I will be a very effective criminal.

I also agree with those who have said that door-to-door confiscation will never happen. Not practical, cost effective, or ever used in the past for things like Booze in the 1920's, drugs now, etc. But, it is fun to have a hypothetical
you are correct they will give you a 3 day period to waist your gas to turn them in, after that you can be shot on site. or some thing just as dumb. they will not go door to door but have us do it for them.

Large PVC pipe air tight, put guns in, fill with cosmoline and bury upright. Plant tree on top.

a trees roots will crush the PVC over time. assuming this is left there for years and years...
tree roots are STRONG
not to mention if it is not deep enough below the frost line, the water surrounding it will freeze and put pressure on the pipe, causing cracks

If you have a piece of land, bury a bunch of steel posts at the front part of the plot with the guns towards the back. If the feds do come with metal detectors they will ge tired of diging up fence posts after awhile. Of coure you would have to seal them somehow (pvc sounds good). Another possiblity is bury a fence post or other large metal object a couple feet above the gun. so that they will dig up the metal object and assume that they found the metal piece that set off the detector.

The goverment has every gun you have bought legaly from a FFL in arcives. The FFL holder turns in these records when he goes out of business.
They know. This has been going on or many many years.

When you have to bury your guns it is really time to use them.

House to house gun confiscation is a fantasy. If that happens here there will be quite a few people involved in standoffs with the govt and sadly a lot of dead people on both sides because of it.

As cliche'd as it sounds I'm of the ΜΟΛΩΝ ΛΑΒΕ camp.
