Where to mount press?

Strat81, I notice that I am a little late, since you ahve already bolted down your press, but this might be helpful to others.

I obtained a full 1" thickness of white oak, and mounted my single-stage press to it, countersinking the bottom so that it would sit flat. The oak was long enough so that I could mount my powder meaure to the other end, and the whole thing would then mount to a WorkMate.

When I bought my Lee Classic Turret I wanted to permanently mount it to a bench, but started out by mounting it to the oak in the center.

Then I used big C-clamps to secure it to the bench. I though that this would be a temporary set-up until I decided where to mount it permanently, but it is such a flexible arrangement that I have kept it this way. So, now I have the powder measure on the left, the turret in the middle and the single-stage on the right. Works for me.

The bench resides in my basement, which is dank

Get a dehumidifier. They work great and will keep you more comfy in heat or cold and more importantly, it will keep your stuff from rusting. You might be amazed at the water they take out of the air and it really does make things more comfortable.:)
