They've had it for at least a couple years, and I suspect long before that. The online store and brick-n-mortar store are independent entities.

They have a large selection of firearms at the retail store here in Ft. Worth. The catalog and online store are totally different companies owned by a different person (though they are in the back of the building the retail store is in.)

Interesting. I wonder if they'll start putting that stuff in the mailed catalogs.

i know for a fact their actual store has one

a few months back someone broke in and stole several handguns from a locked glass case maybe a few ar's too

Their firearm prices generally range from slightly above average to outrageous. I stop in every month or so, but have only found one good deal on a gun in the 8 years I have lived in Ft Worth. Cabelas is not exactly cheap on their guns and I recently purchased a rifle at Cabelas for $99 less that the same model at CTD. I have found CTD's ammo to be on the high side also, but they always have a great selection of self-defense ammo, so I buy some of that.

The store does have a counter in the back for the catalog store. Items in the catalog with a stock number that begins with a letter can be picked up there, saving the shipping charges.
