WOW , Nordic, did you build that AR 10mm ? I have a spare .308 lower just sitting around . would that work? I've never heard of a 10mm AR before . can you enlighten me ?

For real... I'd like to hear more on that myself.
Maybe start a thread just on that AR 10mm perhaps?

Wouldn't mind a report on that HK lookin' critter too. ;)

Perhaps because a good many two legged critters know a gun when they see one and have a tendency to skeedaddle right on out of there when one is presented.

That flat nosed design is gonna cut a hole ALL THE WAY THROUGH the recipient! I'll take a pass on that one, thank you!

For a back country pistol, that is exactly the right recipe. ;)

Heh, full load hard-cast 10mm might as well be a laser.

Speaking of which, I seem to recall that the M41A1 Pulse Rifle that Ripley and the Marines used in Aliens was 10mm.

After watching the latest show by Uncle Ted, it looks like he has swapped his G20 for a Kimber (also in 10mm).

I am a fan of the 10mm, only Glock I own is a 10mm, don't like any of the others.

Got the EAA, mags can be finicky.

Got a pair of Bren 10's paid for and on order, probably will only shoot one of them, let you know about the one I do shoot.

Find the one that fits you the best and join the few, the proud, those that like their true magnum automatics. (Plus you can tell your friends about how your 10 stomps their puny 40 cals.)

My 10mm AR has undergone a number of 'upgrades' over the years. I originally bought it back during the ban with no muzzle attachment and a fixed collapsible stock. I swapped out the original Olympic Arms lower for a CNC AR45 lower that uses M3 Greasegun mags which are cheap and plentiful. I also sent the upper to Jayson at Investment Grade Firearms to cut the barrel back to about 11" and permanently attach a custom .400 caliber HK-style 4 prong flash hider. As this is a blowback, I'm using one of Slash's heavy .45 pistol caliber buffers and a Wolff extra power buffer spring. It's a little heavier than I'd like, but it's ultra-reliable so I can't complain too much.

I ordered a g20sf with night sights for $579 they said it should in in 3 or 4 days. but he does not have any ammo! I'll try Cabellas after work tomorrow. hope to shoot it this weekend !will report but no pictures I dont have a camera. Thanks to everyone for all your help.

S&W 1006 and a G20SF here. Love em both but if I had to chose one, the 1006 gets the nod.

I have 2 Deltas and a Witness Elite Match. All have been perfect. I mean perfect. I am a Colt guy through and through, but man that Witness can out shoot the Deltas every time. I hate to admit it. I think the Elite Match is the best kept secrete in the handgun market today. I bought mine for 525 OTD. They come with a fantastic single action trigger, match grade barrel, extended thumb safety and much more. Im very impressed. Its one the most accurate guns I own, and have ever shot. My handloads are 175gr@1300 and I have had zero problems. Im assuming the problematic guns were the the ones with the rounded profile on the slide, which the Elite Match doesnt have. Anyway, sorry for rambling. Kevin.

thanks Acera. I bought some blazer and some american eagle at sportsman. I've contacted double tap I want some different weights of that too. I shot 100 rounds this weekend. I'm very pleased with the glock 20. spence

The 200gr blazer is my favorite small game/plinking load in my Glock 20. If you want a hot load try Buffalo Bore 180gr Gold Dot from cabela's, thats my hunting load. I have tried the American Eagle but didn't care for them.

P.S. - Man I love the look of that olive green Glock 20. Mine may need a brother. :p

I vote for the Glocks with Lone wolf convrsion barrels. Glock 20 or 29 can use a 40 S&W conversions. The glock 40&W series can use conversion barrels to shoot 9 mm conversion barresl. There are other combinations. 45 auto , 357 sig etc.

I do have experience with it and it isn't a big deal. Of course it isn't a .44 magnum.
It's pretty close to a .41 mag. Plenty stout 'nuff to put down a large, drug crazed felon (given proper shot placement. We always have to add that).

Kimber Eclipse II.
I don't have any experience with them, but you asked if you had left any out. If you're recoil sensitive, you probably won't like it. It's not a full throttle .44 mag, but I've heard it's pretty stout.
Any notion why the Kimber is so much more expensitve than the Colt?

Other than the fit and finish are better, and it has a lot more options standard, basically a custom gun sold as a production model. Other than those minor things I have no clue why.:neener:

Have several...

G29 is great fun with EFK bbl and special recoil spring/rod setup...

Dan Wesson Sportsman is my favorite...

I'm considering having the 610-3 punched out to 10mm mag.

I had (now wish I still did) a Colt Delta Elite SS. It was a perfect weapon. It shot everything I fed it and never had any problems. Very accurate and very fun to shoot. I put in heavy wolf spring and shock buffer and it was a dream to shoot. Bought it for 650 and sold for 850 a couple years later. It was gorgeous. I only got rid of it because I had too many calibers of handguns and I wanted to stream line as I was the only one in my family with a 40/10mm caliber gun, and reloading for it was all my cost and at the time components were not cheap for it. I'll stop rambling now....but if you can find a beautiful Colt Delta Elite I wouldn't hesitate to get one. My .02.

Glock 20SF AND Glock 29SF

Glock 20SF makes a nifty bedside pistol with a Streamlight attached; I carry (with a Crossbreed IWB holster) a Glock 29SF daily. Very comfortable . . . very comforting. Recoil is insignificant, accuracy is superb, and it's a Glock: dependable. :)

I've been thinking of getting a kkm barrel with A muzzle brake. has anyone had any experience with one ? kkm claims a 65% recoil reduction . does that sound about right ? thanks Spence
