Doing this for fun mainly but may actually go with the winning poll results!! A local dealer is giving $100 off any $500+ purchase sometime in the next 2 weeks. If I keep my purchase as close to $500 I'll maximize my discount (20%).

I'm wanting another 9mm and I'm considering the G19 ($569) XD sc ($479) or a used H&K USP full size ($575). All fit my hand well and I can't decide.

Well, my personal preference isn't up there. *cough*SIG*cough* ;)

However, all three are excellent choices. It'd be a toss up between the Glock and the HK. Probably the HK (depending on how "used").

I have been very pleased with the Glocks in my collection(17 and 26). Based on this experience, I would say the Glock 19. The others are also good pistols. See which one fits your hands the best. I don't think you will be disappointed with any of the choices.

Glock 19. I have a 19 and 26 and love them both. I'll be getting an HK P/PS 2000 but chambered in .40. I won't buy a S&W XD I didn't like the one I fired at the range.

That said IMHO the best 9mm ever developed was teh Glock 19/17. either one is reliable and indestructible.

Tough call. I voted for the USP, but it's pretty much a coin toss with the Glock 19. Depends on what you want to do with the pistol -- I consider the USP-F to be a bit big for CCW, so if that's a consideration, the Glock 19 may be better.

If you are looking to carry, I would recommend the XD subcompact. If not, I would also recommend the service size XD, its easier to shoot than the sc. Its personal preference, but I find the XD line fits my hand better than the Glocks. I also find I am faster at target acquisition with the XD, I tend to aim high with the Glock.

I also own a USP, and its my favorite of the bunch for time at the range. But as a full size weapon, its a little to much for me to carry. Good luck and good shooting!

i like the glock 17/19's. easy to get, easy to work on, and parts are easily available.

You have a USPc .40 right? Then I would likely go with the USP Full Size used in either caliber. The feel will be the same.

I voted for the USP as long as it's in good condition. It's value used it as much or more than the others and it's a great gun. Concealing it would be tougher than the other 2 though but that's not in your criteria. It's a toss up for the other 2. Both are great. For me I like the XD because the grip safety is just one extra thing to make me feel secure and the grip angle is nice. The G19 on the other hand has super cheap mags and accessories and is as much if not more reliable. You can't go wrong with any of them.

SIGs

I've shot the SIGs and they are nice but I don't care for the "fat" grips on them. They just don't work well in my hands.

All three are great guns, as are the Sigs, CZs, and countless other guns. You should take some range time the next couple of weeks and rent the guns your interested in.

If the deal works that way, I'd say a CZ and enough accessories to make $500. A Sig 226 would be my second choice. It used to be my first choice until I bought a CZ 75B. The CZ is that good.

Out of the three you listed I would suggest the Glock. Very reliable and cheap mags. 32 round mags for fun. I do agree that the price seems high for a Glock. I bought my 17 in 2005 for $300 and my 19 in 2006 for $325. Both are used 2nd gen ( don't like finger grooves ). I don't know what new ones are going for though.
