Any 223 Remington die with a 7/8-14 thread, which is virtually all of them these days, will work just fine.

Most folks that buy Lee presses buy Lee dies.

The standard for bottle neck rifle cartridges is a two die set, a resize die and a seater die. If you are loading for a semi-auto rifle, slide action rifle or a lever action rifle you will want to full length size.

For a bolt action rifle, you might want to only neck size. But only neck size cases fired in that particular rifle. If you get fired cases from another rifle, you will need to full length size them the first time you use them.

There is lots of different opinions on crimping the 223 Remington. i don't, even in my ARs.

thanks i was wondering if other than the sizer and seater dies is there another die for progresive loader for powder. I already have the 2 in rcbs. I agree i see no reason to crimp

Yes, there is some kind of delivery die for powder on progressives. Usually a separate purchase from a "conventional" die set although I believe some or all of Lee's pistol die sets have an expander die that can deliver powder through the die to the case.

I am not sure what Lee does for rifle but I am sure there is something.

To use Pro Auto Disk powder drop with .223 dies on Pro 1000, you need the rifle powder pour-through charging die.

So, your turret will look like this:
Station 1 - Full length sizing/decapping die
Station 2 - Powder pour through charging die
Station 3 - Bullet seating die

Lee uses a "Rifle Charging Die" in the 2nd station to dispense the powder automatically with the Auto-Disk powder measure on a Pro-1000. The die screws into the turret, the powder measure screws into the die, the case activates the powder measure. The Rifle Charging Die is something you buy separately, it doesn't come with the caliber dies you buy.
