I'd pick the Remy 597. The TC would be my second choice because it's different and probably a higher end gun than the other 3, but I don't know how reliable they are or how they perform "out of the box".

On the other hand my Remington 597 has been a great rifle.

I had a Ruger 10-22T. UNBELIEVABLE how accurate it was. Also, reliability is unmatched. It is a 10-22. The only negative is, the trigger SUCKS. It is better than a regular -22, but still will need help. Great gun though. My recommendation.

I would take the TC, I have heard that they are very good reliable guns and very accurate also, the biggest selling point to me is the stock, I just love the way it looks, and it should also be very comfortable.

Easy.

1. T/C first
2. then Remington and Savage tied.
4. Distant 4th - Ruger

Hard to believe that anyone would choose any of those over the Thompson, but let alone a Ruger. :barf:

Another stupid If you could.............
Hey numbnut, stick it where the sun don't shine. It's not a hypothetical, I'm confronted with chosing one of them. Don't know squat about them and wanted to see what people had to say about them.

Next time keep it zipped so you don't make yourself look like an ass again. ;)

Hey BlackSky :)

I bought my 10/22 in 1972 and it's still a tack driver w/o any issues whatsoever. I Finally gave in and bought a scope (old eyes) and now it's even better. I shot it at the Sunnyvale Rod and Gun Club (across from Steven's Creek Reservoir) and amazed one of the regulars with a specialized BR .22, to say he was shocked was an understatement.

Ruger.
