Which guns have you resigned not to get?

I do not think I'll be getting a six-shot .50 BMG snub-nose revolver any time soon.

I think some folks are missing the point: resigned means you want it but you know you're never going to get it.

For me it's a Pedersoli LePage replica dueling pistol:

Cool as all get-out, but not $1000 worth of fun to someone at my pay-grade.

And a full-auto Thompson, but that's not going to happen unless I hit the Lotto and move out of this state.

A Ruger #1 in just about any caliber. I think they are about the most beautiful rifles ever built.
I can afford one but I just cant justify a single shot that I'd never take to the field for fear of scuffing it up.
Who knows maybe one day I'll come across a prescuffed one but I aint holdin my breath.

I've been looking for a used #1 for years...

Select fire Sig 550 would be great, one day settle for a Sig 556

RRA LAR-PDS... I just like the side folder stock

A "tactical AK" still haven't shot the AK I have, it's been 3 years, just no interest in it, but like it's 'keep sake value'.

Super Red Hawk 454/45lc with a scope, always loved it

454/45lc stubby - just because

1911 CCO...

although... who knows I may own the whole list tomorrow; I find myself buying guns of all types as project guns, they seem to pass throw my hands faster that a woman changes shoes, bad thing is I usally loose a few bucks when I'm done tinkering with them.

Short list ... Jap Type 5 (last one I saw went for a shade over $23K ... and that's too rich for something I wouldn't dare shoot) and an Enfield No. VI Trials rifle and a Berthier M1907 (not the common M1907-15).

Other than that ... I'm really happy and grateful that after 40 years of collecting I can roll through GunBroker and Auction Arms and Guns America, etc. and not see anything that makes my heart stop.

The last thing that did that was a Springfield-Lee M1875 Vertical Action Rifle and once I landed that ... I'm pretty much done now. All that's left to do is load for them and shoot them ... which was a big reason for getting them in the first place!:D

Never....

I very much doubt I will ever own either of two double guns that I have lusted after since I was a boy - A Holland and Holland 12 bore Royal side lock shotgun and a .470 Nitro Express double rifle by James Purdy and Sons.
I will be 66 at the end of November and neither gun is likely ever.

I never thought I'd have most the firearms I now have so now I don't discount the possibility of anything ... I think my tag line pretty well sums it up.

An original trapdoor springfield, everytime I see one I don't have any money, and everytime I have the money I can't find one. I was in my lgs yesterday and there was a nice 1884 model it had been restocked, but other than that it was all original and the bore was not too bad. I thought it was a great deal for $650, but money is tight right now so I ordered an H&R buffalo classic instead.
