Dear THR,
Which of the pistols listed is the best for conceal carry in your opinion? Kindly share experiences if possible.

Slim profile is the most important criteria. From accuracy point of view 7 to 15 yards. High capacity is not one of the prime factors since this is a bug. Consider summer clothing in professional/formal set up.

Thanks.

Your question is too vague, there are a lot of considerations, like climate, dress code, your size, etc. Equally important is what can you shoot effectively?

In general terms, I recommend a quality double- or safe-action lightweight semi-automatic in at least 9mm (bigger is better, but you must be able to control the recoil) with a 3"-4" barrel and at least a 6+1 magazine capacity (and a backup magazine or two). Unless you train a lot a manual safety selector is not a good idea because you might forget to switch to "fire" under duress.

I voted for the M&P9c. At 12 rounds, it has the highest capacity; and it is the most accurate gun that I own. I end up carrying my LCP more, though, because of the convenience (sad to say).

I carry the G26. I can hit just about what ever I want out to 50 yards! It's light compact easy to shoot and very reliable! With a mag extension I have 12+1 of 9mm. If I could find a place to carry it I could have a 33 round mag for backup.
If you want more punch go with the G 27 in .40. I don't think it would be as manageable however.
I ankle carry my 26 when I can't carry IWB. It goes with me everywhere.

Well I carried a PT 111 Pro for a year before my wife took it and got me a 1911 compact. The PT111Pro has so far had over 4000 rounds though it of everything without a single hiccup. It is light weight and carries well in a Crossbreed Supertuck holster. A very comfortable gun for those that carry all day long.

Still not enough info.
You mention that:

Slimer and compacter profile is the most important criteria

I assume that you mean that you are looking for the gun that is smallest? If so, the I believe the LC9 is the compacterest gun on your list.(if you can make up words, so can I.) :neener:

That being said, picking the "best" is usually a trade-off of firepower, shootability, and compactertude.

If, to you, best=smallest, with no other criteria against which to balance the info, I would pick the LC9 off your list.

Edit to add my personal experience:
At one point I owned an M&P9c. I will own one again. It was very comfortable to shoot, very accurate, and an absolute joy. Loved that gun.

Walther PPS has a very slim profile. Last night I was watching NutnFancy review of it, and I didnt agree with his comments at all. He said its not sub comp, rather a comp. What is he talking about?

He has never shot that pistol and still doing a review.....?

Some people just fall in love with their own voice.

Of those? The G26. For me? G19. I like having the slightly longer barrel & much more comfortable grip. That said, if it has to be from your list then the Glock 26 by far.

If this poll was started yesterday and the first-mentioned "Slim Profile is an important criteria" then why wouldn't the OP include a single Kahr model or the newly introduced single-column XD or S&W M&P Shield? Seems those options would better match the quiz. In looking at our provided choices, they seem all over the map.

"Who's better looking, any Ms. America or any Ms. USA or any Ms. Universe or any past or present cheerleader or lifeguard? And, if I'm wearing summer-weight formal wear, why?"

Don't know what the price criteria is, but you may want to consider something like a Springrield EMP 9 or Sig P239 these are quite slim relatively lightweight and as accurate as anything out there.

Several good choices on the list - rent as many as you can and shoot them. Bought the wife a LC9 because she liked the way it felt in her hand - and by the third shot, she was done. Rented several, and she now has a M&P 9c on order. Small, thin guns are not real enjoyable to shoot. I went with a Glock 30 for carry and a 34 for the range. I could shoot the 30 all day, but wanted a 9mm (or $10 .45acp ammo!).
I am impressed by the accuracy of the LC9. It's a great carry piece, and will get carried a lot. It will also get shot enough to maintain proficiency.

This poll is like going to a runner's discuaaion board, listing 8 different running shoes, and saying "I'm a size 12 - which shoe should I buy?"

Which is better conceal carry

I own a pf9 and a p3at. Both have been flawless in operation. The 9 is some what larger than the 380. For conceal carry the 380 will fit in any pocket, not print badly, does not poke you, easy to draw and I don’t worry about accidental discharge (even with one in the pipe). The recoil is not bad; I can keep 5 shots with in a three inch circle at 5 yards or closer. I do not use the sights just point and shoot. – I have practiced for about a year with a pro-instructor off and on at the range. (He also carries the p3at on a daily basis and also is well please with its performance)
Hope this was helpful.

Well since a Glock 26 is my EDC that's how I voted.

Had it since 2005. Still very happy.

It depends completely on how you want to carry but best overall is the HKP2000sk. In .40 or .357 sig it holds nine with standard mag and 12 with HK USP compact mags. It's HK so you know there is no gun of higher quality. They are incredibly reliable, accurate and relatively easy to conceal. The only downside is holster selection is not as wide as with some others, ecspecially if you to mount a laser or light, but there are some excellent options available. Another awesome feature of the HK is the number of available trigger types.

I'd go with some flavor of Kahr 9mm with polymer frame. They are light, shoot very well and are slim. By the time I take a Glock or similar handgun and put it in a holster, it's downright uncomfortable for me after a while. With the Kahr, I sometimes forget it's there.

Off the ones on your list, the PPS is the obvious winner if thin profile is the most important criteria and high capacity doesn't matter.
