I can carry a full sized duty pistol concealed in Arizona summer weather under a T-shirt, so it really comes down to A) which do you like better, B) how much are you willing to spend for a really good quality holster/belt combo, and C), can you put up looking like a slob. :)
See below, CZ Sp-01 Phantom, High Noon Holsters Down Under IWB rig with High Noon Rock Steady gun belt. Only concession I make to summer carry is switching to the 16 round standard CZ 75 magazine.

I would not go Makarov as same size pistols are available in 9mm nowadays, unless it's all you have. Nothing wrong with the gun at all, just the caliber could be considered a wee bit light, that's all.

I like synthetic oil in my motorcycle.
I like chocolate covered donuts.
I like Honda motorcycles.
I like my Kahr PM9.
I like eggs for breakfast.
I like the Houston Texans.
I like pie.
I like the smell off Hoppe's #9.

If you disagree with any of these, I'll pray for you!! There are many things in life you just have to decide for yourself. LOL!!

+1 on Pie and Hoppe's #9. Every time my dad comes over and i'm cleaning guns he picks up the bottle and smells it. He says its a real man's smell. lol

Well I carry the G26, so like others, that's my vote. I believe that Kahr are slimmer and smaller but I don't like to change to a different manual of arms. I'm just used to Glock and the 1911.

How cOme p2ksk not in the race whereas it's top quality and almost same size as g26

For some reason making an all steel sub compact defeats the purpose. Today i tried rami on ankle and it was just pathetic.

Like others have said, I like the G27. Same size as 26, but for me I trust the stopping power of a .40 better. I'm 5.11 230 lbs so it doesn't move me around that bad, but my more slender friends tell me the sub compact 40's recoil too much. If you're smaller, and/or don't shoot as much, the g26 will work just fine.

One thing I like to throw out there with cc issues, that others don't like to discuss, is that you don't want a very nice expensive piece because you're statistically more likely to lose the weapon than you are to "use" the weapon.

I'm not talking about negligence on your part, I'm talking about some revenue generator putting his nose in somewhere it doesn't belong and taking your piece. I've had it happen to me. Don't worry, I beat his tail in court and got my gun back, but it cost me 2 grand in lawyer money to get my 500 glock back. Many suggested I turn the other cheek and forget it, but I had to stand on priciple so I wasted the 2 grand to buy the right to say I was correct.

If you carry for say, 30 years........ you're more likely to have a revenue generator steal your piece under the pretense of "protecting society" than you are of actually having been presented with lethal threat, and therefore actually having reason to "present" the weapon.

When it comes to bone stock hard core reliability in a cheap lightweight gun, it really is tough to beat those ugly little glocks...............

Not really. A steel compact/subcompact makes all the sense in the world for people who want an easily concealed belt gun with a little heft to it. Many people, myself included, find that the extra weight makes the gun recoil less and point more naturally. It's one of the reasons I love Kahr's K series.

The fact that a CZ Rami did not make a good ankle gun should not be a knock against the Rami. Most of the guns on your list would make terrible ankle guns. I had an M&P9c for a while. It was a fantastic gun. But I wouldn't dream of hooking it up to my ankle. It would make my leg feel like a pendulum. The ONLY gun o your list that I would even consider for ankle carry would be the Ruger LC9.
Even then, I HATE ankle carry. But that's a personal thing. If it works for you, then by all means go for it.

It's too personal to answer. It ends up being different for everyone based on preference, body type, holster preference, carry position and belt preference. There are several I'd rule out, but I'm just ruling them out on my own preferences, not yours.

My criteria sounds just like yours and I had bought a Kahr cw9 to test the waters with a slim 9mm. Very accurate and very reliable, just nothing to brag about and not much to look at. Still, 95% of the time that pudgy little glock 26 rides in my waistband in a triggerguard holster. I ended up selling the Kahr and I'm no longer convinced I even want a slim 9. The size just wasn't right. I'll take something like a glock 26 or an m&p9c. Other than that, I never need anything smaller. But I'm also lean these days so love handles aren't an issue, and that's a big factor in carry guns. There was a time I couldn't appendix carry because my "overhang" was a little painful on the rear sight.

I have finally came around to the idea of a small, light 380 for a purpose similar to yours. I don't like the idea of carry a 380, but I also don't like going unarmed and a 380 is better than a sharp stick in the eye. When I'm wearing gym shorts, my 26 is on the verge of removing them. I usually change clothes, but life happens and sometimes there are emergencies and I need to head out in a hurry. On those days something like a LCP appeals to me. I've tried airweights and LCR's, both of which are on the heavy side like my 26. I love the little 380 sig, but it weighs about the same as an LCR or airweight.

I voted for the G26. Although I can carry my G22 (full size 40 S&W) and my SW1911 Government size 45 ACP in all but the warmest/hottest weather. That's a plus for being 6ft. and a very slime 260 lbs. :D I also have a S&W M60 3", 5 rd. revolver. It carriers really nice. When it's really warm/hot and/or I want deep concealment, I carry my G27 40 S&W. I might sell/trade my G27 and get a G26 instead. The more I shoot the 9mm the more I like it. Just bought a G34 long slide 9mm. I have three barrels for my G22, the stock 40 S&W barrel plus a G31 357 Sig. and LWD 9mm conversion barrels. A G19 9mm will most likely be next pistol!

Good luck, NYH1! ;)

It seems like Glock is aleays the front runner no matter what the poll is about. More so noe than few years back.

LC9 is probably the thinnest. I carry one daily. It has a decent, if heavy, trigger, good sights, 7+1 capacity, the grip has some traction but does not snag on clothes of tear them up (very important if you have custom cut suite jackets) and is very soft shooting. All in all, it is an excellent CCW if capacity is not the issue.

I have 2 on that list on me right now, the lc9 in my right front pocket, and the Glock in a belly band in a holster, since I don't use belts because of my back. Lc9 other than lcp, is the only one I can get in my pants pocket, in a "sticky holster" and it hides almost as well in workout pants.

I went with the 26. I now carry the 23 for more powerful rounds. I;ve found that knowing how to dress around the slightly larger 23 is mostly a problem of hiding the grip, but it's fairly easy with the right IWB holster.

My wife carries her Glock 26 every time she leaves the house. It's a great gun & she shoots and conceals it well.

I carry a Glock 27 in a IWB CTAC holster. It conceals very well and easily. It's my favorite gun in our collection.

If this is just going to be a bug, then I would go with the LC9. If you are considering carrying this as your only piece at times, I would go withthe PPS. Still slim, but if it was your go-to pistol that day, I would want something with a little more purchase like the PPS.

Do you plan to carry the pistol in your pocket? On your ankle? In a holster? A combination of all three or something else? If pocket or ankle carry is contemplated, weight and size become huge considerations. If the pistol will be carried in a holster, bigger and heavier become viable alternatives when choosing a gun to be carried concealed.
Need to know more about your intended use in order to make well-considered recommendations.
