The BG 380 is the only gun you list that is really smaller than your G26. If you can carry a G42, 43, or Shield you can carry your 26. If you're looking for a reason to buy a new gun that's another story.

Ruger LC9s or LC9s Pro depending on your particular likes and dislikes concerning safeties and magazine disconnects.

IM not exactly sure what " i'be seen " means..
Well, since you asked ... the "b" is right next to the "v" on a QWERTY keyboard so I suspect he hit it (the "b") vice the "v" in trying to type the contraction "I've" in his post. Just the 69yo school teacher in me you see. I'm having a hard time letting go of that particular fun part of my working life.

Thanks everyone for the input. Right now its coming down between the Shield 9 and the Glock 42. They cost about the same for me on blue label discount, and they are about the same size. I really like the feel of both. I am more of a glock guy, but only for the double stacks. I don't have all the nickels in the world so I think really hard before I buy, and Im not a fan of buy and trade/sell.

I really do like my G26, and I use a +6 and +4 basepad from taran tactical So I have the capacity and grip length of the 19 but have the option to drop down to the flush 10 round if I want. Right now my go to holster is the Raven Concealment VG2, which works well in shorts and untucked shirt, but when I have to tuck my shirt it prints pretty noticeable, at least to me.

One concern with getting the Shield is that since I have the G26, and the shield will be more easily concealed than it, I will just grab the Shield more often and really only use the 26 when I want more capacity. Whereas with the Glock 42 I would use it when clothing options don't not permit the 26 to easily concealed.

I like 9mm over the .380 but with the maggutts +1 spring conversion or a +2 extension, If I can't get out of bad situation in 8-9 rounds I need something more than a handgun.

Kinda where I am at, at the moment.

Tuff choice as im a fan of the m&p line as well as fan of glocks.
I own a few of both.
I cut my teeth on baby glocks.
I carried a 27 for a long time in various holsters.
For me the shield points more natural for me and im a tad more accurate with.
The shield is also thin and carries well in any atire.
It has pretty much become my year round carry pistol.
I carry in a galco double time kydex holster or a desantis cozy partner.
I really like glocks but as of late s&w has really been winning me over.
Hope this helps.

Other. Kahr CW9 / CM9. IMO the perfect single stack 9mm CCW. Light weight, slim, no safety, great trigger, very accurate, very reliable.

At least that has been my expience with them.

gp-100 3 inch,,,6 loaded,,,6 in a speed-loader,,,if i can't get-um with 12,,,i'll be carried by 6

My winter carry is often a G26, but the Shield is more comfortable and concealable for me. I shoot the G26 much faster with excellent accuracy, so it is my primary - but you are correct about the temptation to carry the Shield all the time. I don't have easy access to the G42 or G43, so they are not in my consideration.

I have to agree with the above post. I have both the Kahr CW9 and the CT380; both are deep pocket guns and are slim single stacks and, shoot very well.

I think that a double-stack is the only way to go for concealed carry. If you're going to carry, might as well do it right.

Here in Phoenix it usually runs around 107° to 110° this time of the year which makes carrying a double stack concealed a little difficult for me.

I really don't like having a pistol inside carry rubbing on my body in these temps very comfortable and so I usually pocket carry.

I have a Colt Officer IWB at present Other times my Defender hot 90+ or Cold these carry easy. I have a KelTec PF-9 for pocket.

When on vacation in Fl I carried my Defender every where IWB and a t-shirt. Don't settle for a small 380 . You can carry bigger just as easy.

Everyone has the right of their own opinion...BUT... double stack is much harder to conceal and its heavy.. not something I want to haul around 99.9 % of the time. For me 50 years of carry, and constantly refining my carry... and research is that as a defensive weapon, you will carry it 99.9 % of the time without ever the need to draw it. and in that 1 /10th of 1 percent... it will occur within 21 feet , and the encounter will last no more than 20 seconds ( no need for double stack ).. Cops and federal law enforcement carry offensive weapons,( with double stacks) go into a situation with the intent to flush and advance on a robbery or a shooting in progress that was already reported... the trick with defensive carry is to have a weapon you can deploy in a heart beat , a comfortable to carry weapon, a weapon to go to the ready without drawing attention to your concern for a potential threat... my " defensive carry" has my hand around my 1911 45 ACP and no one knows i'm at the ready, you can not do that with any waist high IWB or OWB holster with out telegraphing to people around, off duty or plain clothed cops or other CCW people wondering what your intent is while going for a gun in your waist high holster which , by going for it, causes concern from all those around you.. and this is not in deployment, but just so you can go to the ready... with all the amateurs out there I do not want to telegraph that IM going to the ready.. its too easy to be shot by some amateur claiming that I was going for a gun.

my 1911 is in my left pocket ... in my cargo shorts. If I feel a potential threat, my hand goes in my pocket and I look like an old guy with his hand in his pocket... no one can be this ready, using a holster that is in an IWB or OTW holster..
I've been carrying in the pocket for 6 years ,of my 35 years of civilian carry... two months ago I tried carrying in one of my OWB holster... it was horrible because I was spoiled by pocket carry.. I did it as a test... I could not wait to get back into the pocket... its nice to " go for your weapon " like in the first picture and not draw attention to yourself, and already be a second ahead of anyone with any other type of holster.
