Which states have the most liberty friendly gun laws?

In Oregon I know we can have CCW. You can possess as many guns on one liscense that you see fit (unlike Washington where it is one weapon per CCW). We are pretty liberal about gun laws. we do not have open carry though as far as I know.
We can even carry automatic knives.

I think Vermont may top the list, but as far as gun laws specifically, Pennsylvania's pretty friendly:

-Shall-issue state
-CCW takes a very short time (from a few days for mine to my fiancee's "20 bucks and 20 minutes" experience); there are no training requirements
-No monthly limit on gun purchases
-Open carry is legal (although I've heard it can go roughly for you in Philly if you try it)
-Very few "off limits" places: I think courthouses and schools (although with regard to schools, I think there is a nebulous "it's okay if it's for lawful purposes" clause)
-Gunshops dot the landscape

Now, granted, Philadelphia gummint weenies are convinced that guns are autonomous, malicious entities that actually commit crimes, but they're still overruled by the state in general.

Please explain,

I have a WA CPL and was never once asked to register ANY gun to it, I use it to carry any of my guns. Please explaine because both I and the sherrifs office that issued it could be in violation of the law.:neener:

Edit: P.S. Packing.org seams to be down :(

Be done with it

death from a thousand cuts is right ,I say be done with it, yea or nea ether we have the right to own firearms are not.little by little were loseing and in 20 years are so who no s ,no moore battles no moore wasting money fighting i say GET R DONE :banghead: DAMM THE TORPEDOS FULL SPEED AHEAD

Arizona's good. Easy to obtain CCW, open carry is legal, no background check for CCW holders, no problem transporting guns in cars, lots of ranges and places to legally shoot in the desert, no crazy knife laws, local sheriff's sign off on any necessary paperwork with no hassles, etc, etc.

So who do you want this answer to come from? The founding fathers already answered it. State and local governments who are banning guns are in violation of the constitution. The real problem is that for 50 years the judicial branch has been packed with liberals. We're not going to undo overnight what it's taken them 50 years to do. But give it a chance, things seem to be headed in the right direction, both in the USA and worldwide.

Huh, so Montana doesn't let its citizens own DDs of either type, large bore or exploding. Disappointing, really. :(

PA is pretty good.

As stated above, the laws are fairly pro gun. It's a state full of hunters and rednecks. One of the high schools near me has a rifle team. Opening day of deer season is a school holiday in many areas. And the best part (for me) is there are guns shops everywhere! There are at least a dozen within 20 miles of my house. I wouldn't live anywhere else.

WYOMING End of subject,CCW,open carry,NFA yup we got em and we shoot em, whole state is a shooten range!!!!!

I think NH is better than VT...

VT does not allow its citizens to own silencers. NH is a shall issue state. NH allows open carry (no permit is required - a permit is only required for concealed carry). Also, NH allows class 3 firearms, including silencers.

I think it took a day for my concealed carry license to be approved.

Virginia is pretty good. Shall issue, open carry, no limits or waiting periods on handgun purchases with a CCW permit.

Still have that annoying ban of CCW anywhere that serves alcohol. So, you have to open carry in such locations. C'est la vie.
