THR has a younger crowd.....

than some of the forums. I'm 64 and still working so I can try to win the toy race. Still married to original wife(39 yrs.) with four grown children and no grandkids:( I am a professional investment manager and former investment banker. I started as a shooter and just kinda bought guns I liked....mostly handguns and US military rifles. Then I morphed into a collector of N-frame Smiths and buyer of more gun safes:D Works out pretty good if you can live long enough to pay off all debt and buy toys.

Son of a salty old USMC DI and a very liberal teacher (she was in the Peace Corp when they met if you can believe that).
I've been shooting most of my life.
Moving to TX shortly with the family due to a career change for my wife.

Turning 32 this year. Single evangelical/charismatic Christian male, of Chinese descent. Born in Indonesia, lived most of my life in Canada, now back for a season(since november last year) in Indonesia. Went to shooting range once in Nebraska(while visiting a cousin). Would love to go to US again and go to the range, if I have the chance.(any good range in NY?) Handled a variety of gun before(in the range). Have a healthy respect for firearms. Have a nice .177 air rifle at home. But, looking forward of buying a good airsoft bb gun in the near future to hunt cats that are eating my hamster.:mad:

Currently down to just one gun Glock 19 wearing brand spanking new Tru Glo TFO sights. Had more but weddding came first.

Out of the jewelery business completely because even though the money was GREAT I HATED the hours and wanted a change. I now manage a store for one of the largest electronic retail chains. All in all life is pretty durn good.
 
I work as undercover agent for an unnamed gov't agency. My job requires that I frequent and join internet discussion forums to seek out potential criminal activity. (ah, what the heck, I'm just joking ya'all, trust me).

Me, I'm a niave 18 male entering college as a pre-law political science major.

I am the grandson of a Corporal in the Army, a Court Reporter in Nuremberg, a Naval seaman, and a wonderful grandmother(housewife).

As you've no doubt observed, agent gbran, fortunately, there's little of that in this part of cyberspace. (I wouldn't have hung out here this long if it were otherwise.) THR is very, very explicit about responsible use of firearms. Criminal elements need not apply for membership here, and if members advocate it, mods come down fairly hard very quickly. (At least that's been my observation; ymmv.)

Say, what firearms does your agency support these days? What's your edc? Back up carbine? Any shotguns? F16-18 support?

BTW, i have a number of friends that highly recommend your poetry. Haven't checked it out yet, but will someday. :rolleyes:

Maybe I need to clarify. Currently, I am living in Indonesia. The possession of firearms is illegal here. Air rifle is ok. I owned several hamster that I kept in a cage, of late, 4 of them have been fallen prey to stray cat snooping into my house and started dining on my hamster. Since plastic bb airsoft imitation gun are legal here, that is what I will buy. The next time I see a stray cat preying on the hamster again, I will use that air soft gun to dissuade it.

I'm single, and I am good at living alone- that probably comes from being an only child. I have recently figured out that my destiny is probably to marry a cop. I am fascinated by law enforcement and with the odd hours cops have, they would probably be the only type of men able to deal with the odd hours and the stress that I bring home from my job. :uhoh: People joke that females are the more clingy species. But I have found the opposite-- not many men want to deal with a female who is home at different late times every night and can be emotionally unavailable because of work worries.

I have no children, except for the furry kind. Although I consider many of the kids I work with "mine" and would give my life for any of them.

I'm working on posting more on this board. I read it daily, but sometimes fall into "lurking" mode, forgetting that I am actually a member and can post replies. Strange, I know.

who am I

I am 30 something own a few guns have a couple kids but I wonder what you have to add to the general gun discussion that this sight is for. I am not affiliated with anyone; however, I believe presentation of informaion to be as accurate as possible. I accept any criticism on my behalf and none other. So has this thread become a date line. The only date I have is w/ my wife. Or the one w/ my son at the shooting range!:confused:


It happens a topic gets off track, but it can get back where it needs to be easily.

34 yo, engaged to a beautiful woman with a 5 yo son. Been out of the army for a year, work as a nurse. Definately do not have unlimited funds to buy guns but I try very hard.

Currently employed as a CNA (certified nurse's assistant) for a county facility, only making half the money I could in exchange for union+benefits.. but they paid for my CNA cert. Eventual goal is to be an RN, and buy all the Iron I can before I end up another casualty to Love Enduring.

Living with the parents. No kids, no wife. Very single, intelligent, fun loving, looking for SWF 18-22 who likes to shoot (just had to put that out there!!)

I only own one gun-- and as far as the BATF is concerned it's actually mom's :rolleyes: but good old dad (may his beard grow ever longer) is steward of his own, one uncle's and Wizened Grand-Elder's gun collections, so it's not like we're EVER underprepared.

My CCW is Grand-Elder's original Chief's Special.
 
One month shy of 23. I am a Correctional Officer for the AR Dept of Correction. I live lass than a block from the UofA campus with my roomate, who is also my brother. Got a little bit of school under my belt, but not much. Was going to major in Crim. Justice, but am thinking more along the lines of Psychology. It is appropriate for LE work, and is something to fall back on in case I change my mind about what I want to do.

Don't currently own a lot of guns, but there are many I used to own that I would kill to have back. Currently rely mainly on my SigPro2340 and Rem870HD for fun/HD/social situations, plus a handful of others that arent real special but are a lot of fun. Work guns are Glock 22 and S&W 66 pistols (depending on how special you are and need), Rem 870 shotties, Mini-14s (that actually work really well), and once again, if you are special we have a supply of M-16A2 rifles for chase teams, ERT, and what-not.

I am a top seated amateur net surfer/myspacer, driver around aimlesslyer, and partier(but not with guns). If I am not playing with a gun, it will be a knife in my hand. Love to fish, but have very little time for it.

Thats pretty much me.

Little house out in the middle of nowhere. I usually shoot pistols, small cal rfiles and shotguns out in my backyard. NO big rifles though, don't want to kill a cow 2 miles away...or worse!

Always just been FASCINATED with guns. I used to draw the beretta 92 when I was a kid...just out of boredom.

I'm 62, Retired, Don't buy a lot of Guns, about 1 every 6 Months, Love to target shoot and Hunt, Married for 40 Years to the same lady, 2 Children and 7 Grandchildren. I'm from Missouri, "Show me":) :)
